Criss pulled the bottle of red wine out of the cabinet and popped open the cork. He poured it into two glasses and went back into the bedroom. Cristina’s body was completely buried under the blankets. He chuckled lightly to himself. He sat the two glasses down on the nightstand and gently shook her body.
“Mmm, I’m sleeping,” she muttered, kicking her legs out to get him to stop.
“No, you were sleeping, now you’re awake,” he said, pulling the covers down from over her head.
She gave him a little pout and sat up in the bed.
“What?” she asked, not liking being jilted from her long, pleasant nap.
Cristina had arrived from Italy last night and she had major jet leg. All she wanted to do was sleep through the next couple of days. Criss picked up the glasses of wine from the nightstand and handed her one.
“Red wine, my favorite,” she smiled, taking a whiff before taking a deep sip.
“I figured it would help you sleep better,” he said, sipping his wine.
“I don’t know about that, but I think it might make me a little frisky,” she grinned.
“Well frisky beats sleepy any day,” he said, leaning in and giving her a deep kiss.
