This is a great tut, but how did you figure out the specific numbers to use on each layer? Is there some theory to it, or do you just use trial and error? It's why I've avoided selective colors; I have no idea even where to start raising and lowering each value to get the effect I want.

how i figured it? the middle icon on the examples list was originally what i wanted to achieve. its pretty much trial and error, but i have a simple method (-100, 0, +100, 0 on both yellow and red, and high levels of blue on neturals). then just play around with other settings.
