Various things
The home inspection is today. I'm like insanely nervous. I need to get off my butt and change the cat box (which was changed on Sunday and scooped twice a day but I have no idea if other people smell cat box in my house because I'm pretty immune to it unless it's really dirty).
Meteor loves to watch the toilet flush. He appears in the bathroom every time I'm in it and puts his paws up on the seat and stares expectantly into the bowl. Usually I can oblige and flush and he gets so thrilled! He stares at the water going down from various angles and then, when it's done, he looks back up at me like "Hey, mom, flush it again!" It makes me think of the silly "Cat flushing the toilet" jingle the kids listen to. heh. I'm teaching him to come and watch it flush when I call out "Meteor! I'm flushing the toilet!" Most of the time he comes running and it cracks me up.
I started reading Sherlock Holmes on my Fire and I never realized that House's character was based on Sherlock Holmes. Maybe I'm way behind since I don't keep up with that kind of stuff. But Holmes is just like House... Watson is pretty much like Wilson. Even like the same names. Really, Devon, it took you years to notice what other people have surely already pointed out. I haven't watched House in forever. The DVR's not recording it and I haven't looked to see if it's not recording because it's off the air for the season or if it's recording something else during that timeslot, instead.
Plans this weekend- get Rachael some long length 8 jeans because the regular length are too short but 10s are long enough but huge in the waist. My tall girly. (That would be 8 kid size, not 8 adult). Then Rachael is making a pyramid for school out of sugar cubes and she's also doing a poster of Matilda so we'll get supplies for those. And Ariel is making an animal habitat diorama so we'll get supplies for that. We're also going into DC Saturday night and Sunday we have been invited to a friend's house for the afternoon and Rachael has soccer practice in the evening. zomg. I'm drinking extra coffee this weekend. Ray also wanted to measure the new house and go to Ikea to price a kitchen remodel, but I think that might have to wait until next weekend. I'd like to point out that my mood is amused for once! Maybe I'm pulling myself out of my funk.. slowly but surely I will quit being paralyzed by self defeating thoughts. :/
