We were taking a walk yesterday in the wonderful milder weather. It really smelled like spring was in the air. Ariel saw the number "5" printed on the trail and she stopped short and exclaimed "Mommy! The number FIVE! LOOOOK!" like it was a million bucks. "Yea, Ariel. FIVE! Why do you think it's there?" "Oh, mommy, because there is TREASURE there" she says without hesitation. Then she spent the rest of the walk wondering why we weren't seeing the treasure.
She was also cute in that she kissed all the trees with little leaf buds starting to open. "Awwww, little baby leafs!" she would croon, and kiss them. Way cute. Then, near the end of our walk she stopped at this random tree and touched it and said "Mommy, I need to hug this tree" and she proceeded to hug the tree for a minute. "Do trees talk?" she asked. "I don't know, what do you think, Ari?" "Yes, mommy, I think they talk. But they really just nod."
She was very cute on our walk.
It was even warmer this morning (50) when we walked into the school and Rachael, skipping along, says "Mommy! I can SMELL the spring! It smells blue and pink and purple! I can smell is EVERYWHERE!"
