Random update
I got a good start on Rachael's room yesterday. I painted the ceiling and there is NOTHING worse than painting a popcorn ceiling. I had a special roller, but my hair was full of little popcorn pieces by the time I was done. Ew. Then I painted three walls pink and they just need the upper part of the wall done and a second coat. I am painting the fourth wall purple. Trevor's room is primed (finally! That was dark paint!) and ready to paint, but I haveto paint the ceiling before I get to the walls. We're renting a sprayer, but I might paint his ceiling before we get the sprayer, just to get it out of the way. Why paint the ceilings? A smoker obviously inhabited the house.. or something. The ceilings are this dingy yellowed color. They're gross. I didn't notice it much until I slapped some paint on Rachael's ceiling and, wow! It shines! It's so pretty! So all the ceilings are getting paint.
Ray found out the leak in the master math requires a whole new tub to be installed. We're installing a standup shower, since I see no point to a plastic tub that isn't deep enough to soak in. And since we hadn't planned on remodeling the bathrooms yet, we don't want to invest in a soaker tub. So moulded plastic stand up shower it is.... however, every LOwes and Home Depot in our area has no shower walls... they are all cracked. And, because people are morons, no one will special order him one because.. get this.. it was the answer they all gave him "These items are autoordered when they are sold. They cannot order them by hand and they won't get anymore in until the existing ones are sold." Every store gave him that answer... how on earth do you sell a cracked item? It's like these big stores are staffed by the brainless. So Ray is frustrated and trying to figure out where he is going to get the rest of the shower since no one seems to be capable of, I dunno, marking out the damaged items so new ones will come in. I mean, really. I can't get over it. heh.
I grocery shopped today and it is rainy and 34 and gross out. Ariel is playing on starfall and I am about to get off the computer for hopefully the rest of the day until this evening. I have been online just toooo much.
