What a day...
I haven't much been feeling list posting lately. But I have anyway. Trevor and I are having a tough time with his perfectionism. We had a huge long talk about it yesterday when he was crying and upset over math and how it is tough. Then again this morning he had a huge break down because I mentioned one of his sentences was a run on a we discussed periods (the assignment was to write sentences with proper punctuation) and it was so emotionally draining. I need some gentle, compassionate books about perfectionist children. I don't mind a dry read- this is just a tough time we're working through.
My sister in law dropped by last night for a visit. She had business in WV and so spent the night with us last night and left this afternoon for her plane back to FL. We all enjoyed her visit, though wished it could have been longer. She hadn't seen Ariel since Ariel was like 6 months old or something. Way too long. Since Friday is a busy day for me, Christa ended up being a wonderful help at the school! lol. She comes out for a visit and I put her to work at the school. heh. Luckily everyone except Trevor and I went to look at the new house this morning. Trevor and I worked out his homework/emotional issues. I emailed his teacher about his issues with math and she was very disappointed she hadn't noticed it and will be sending me home some resources to help him out. Yay for that. :)
I don't feel much inspired to blog anymore so I will listie list my day:
Took the kids to school with Christa.
Got gas on the way home.
Came home and got Ariel a snack and played Balloon Lagoon.
Went back to school and stocked books until K lunch.
Met Rachael for lunch, then met Trevor. Lunch is always chaotic and fun.
Said bye to Christa and came home.
Ariel and I made pea soup from scratch.
I played two games of Zingo with her.
Im'd a friend for a moment while looking up the the artist for Grace Art this month.
Left for GRACE Art. Got to the school and his teacher and I had a miscommunication about the time. She expected me at 1:30, not 2:30. We rescheduled for 1:30 next Tuesday.
I didn't want to drive home so Ariel and I went for a walk. We walked all over the place and had a blast. We pretended we were dinos and then we stomped in the metal tunnel and made cute echoey rawrs. We had fun.
Picked up Rachael and came home. They played MLP while I vegged.
Picked up Trevor from Lego club and came home.. again.
Read some books, caught up with the kids.
Now I have pea soup ready and am about to put in the biscuits. I am hungry. And tired.
