I am so bored and hungry and bloated and was crampy this morning. *SIGH* I hate my period.. it's so lame. I wish it would just be over in ONE day.. maybe an hour. And I wouldn't have PMS symptoms- physical or emotional- and I wouldn't have to worry about Trevor's birthday on Saturday and having to go to Ocean City on, like, probably the day my period will START. What a pain. I would like to MAKE my period start this instant so it will be lighter on Saturday and not so heavy. sorry, TMI, I know.
Today I ate Basic 4 cereal for breakfast, homemade yogurt with blended peach and strawberry for lunch and I just ate a bunch of pinenut hummus and whole wheat pita for a snack and a handful of buttered popcorn I made for the kids. I still feel like eating. Foooood.
I had english last night. I got a B on the quiz I thought I bombed. Yay for me. He didn't grade it on a curve, either. We had to define "denouement" and I couldn't remember was it was. So I wrote "I totally can't remember" . He actually gave me a point for at least putting something! lol. Go figure.
Yesterday Rachael and Ariel were in the backyard playing. They wanted to play with the hose and fill up their buckets with water. But I couldn't get this piece from the pump unscrewed from the end of the hose that goes into the tap. So I told the kids they could turn on the tap and would have to fill their buckets directly from that. They just couldn't get it. I guess they are so conditioned to have water come out of the hose. So Ariel puts the end of the hose into her bucket and Rachael runs to turn on the water..
"Ariel, you need to put your bucket under the tap."
"It *is*!"
"No, that's the hose. The hose won't work right now."
"Yes it will."
"Um... but where's the other end of the hose? It's not plugged into the water, Ariel."
Ariel points to where the other end of the hose sits in the middle of the yard.
"ok. And if Rachael turns on the tap, where will the water come out if no hose is attached to the spout?"
"Right here!" Ariel holds up her end of the hose that's in the bucket.
"ummmm... ok."
Now, Rachael totally didn't understand either. She completely thought the water would come out of the end of the hose. She almost jumped out of her skin when she turned the water on and it came blasting out of the faucet. I laughed and said "What did you think would happen? The hose isn't attached to the tap!" It was really pretty funny.
The kids are eating popcrn downstairs and I told them they could play Mario Brawl for a brief while. I'm tired and PMSy and really need to study. I wish I had ice for iced coffee, but alas, I am out of ice. How lame is that. *sigh* After that I am not sure what we'll do. I need to cut the girl's hair and it always gets too late at night and everyone is tired and impatient. So maybe I will bath them and cut hair. I am strongly tempted to dye a pink streak in Rachael's hair since she asked for it the other day. I have no clue how to do something like that, though.
