I spent this past weekend nailed to the couch, drooling on myself. No, literally. Boyfriend did a good job of taking care of me, making me Theraflu, bringing me juice, and at least forcing me to glimpse sunshine on Sunday. Plus he didn't laugh too loudly when I stumbled around in a Benadryl induced delirium on Friday night.
Wow, I haven't been slammed with a head cold like this in a few years! And now I'm delighted to report that my coworkers all sound like crap too. Hee hee hee! I am the outbreak monkey of doomy DOOM!
I am also drinking some freaking awesome loose-leaf tea (vanilla infused) courtesy of
pallid_regina . Mmmm, delicious tea - being drank out of the awesome eggplant colored tea thermos Winky sent me! Heh. People pelt me with tea stuffs.
In other news, I have managed to be completely brain dead for the past 48 hours. So here is some news by proxy:
MSNBC had a great (read: terrible) documentary on
Sex Slaves in Suburbia. American girls being kidnapped and forced into slavery. Approximately 300,000 girls a year are forced into prostitution, and many law enforcement personnel have treated the girl as runaways. This was a huge eye opener. Consider the relatively few amount of times you've read about sexual slavery in other countries or sexual slaves being brought into our country. How often do you hear about it happening here?
The Amber Room. Originally stolen by Nazis!
