so in the summer our other 'lefaye' or 'maid' what we gave an [albeit, unethical] holiday to was an actual famine baby, circa bob geldof egotrip mk1... but tbh she was a bit annoying. i tried to teach her how to swim and stuff, but then one time when we were out at night and she was babysitting my brother and a little unfriend of his - SHE WENT FOR A SWIM on her OWN. this really freaked me out cos i had already had a preminision of a time previous when i couldnt find where she was so i checked the pool... that time she wasnt to be found there luckily. but midnight swimming was what she tried out. and she was an unswimmer.
I like my new 'house worker' girl [god i know there is no term that makes this ALRIGHT...]. but she's like a sister i never had. i probably already said this. my moms arthritis got the worst ever after she cleared some house for my dad so he got her a maid for syria for when she comes to visit here, so that my mom can have a real holiday. this had the flip benefit of appeasing the rest of my dickwad family who couldnt bear the thought of me living on my own without getting the chance to scupper it...
im enjoying the irony of complete roll reversal. i do the cleaning and washing and the getting up at 5am and the fixing of all things technical [yes i am the breadwinning male in this relationship...] and she does the waking up at 2pm and leaving things lying around after she's finished using them. im giving her the gift of the messy student life that she'll never have...
anyway i like it when she sings and shes going to teach me this song. omg i will probably learn ethiopian while im stuck out here, in december there is no arabic school... she speaks really good arabic tho.
so today i finally got round to buying her a 'bustier', er yeah, lets call it that...
one that isnt vulgar or an ill interpretation of what a bra is supposed to do... [syria is like renowned for being the global capital of a fixation in VULGAR bad taste lingerie... omg like see here http://women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/women/article5039741.ece or http://www.newstatesman.com/200606050018 - yes amazing what you get if you google 'lingerie;+'syria'...]. yesterday i finally got round to buying her a watch and an alarm clock [ YES one of those mosque ones...] and yes i think its lol that i gone and bought two mosque alarm clocks when my bedroom is RIGHT next door to a mosque that wakes the neighbourhood up at all times of sleep hours... i live opposite this fat mosque. i love it tho.
