Sometimes the desert seems to stretch out for miles and miles, other times its suffocatingly small. Like a Dali painting, things shimmer and change, but take a closer look and its the same faded signs and same faded people. The expanse of space could fit millions of people, but yet we are still packed like so many sardines in a can.
