Yeah, that really could've gone better.

Does it help if I tell you Carter's the grumpiest one of them?

I'm not sure grumpy is the word I'd choose.

Can you really blame him?

For being judgemental, jumping to conclusions and thinking he knows everything about us?

Yes, actually.

He's got thousands of years of memories bouncing around in his head. Do you really think we're anything new?

You've got personal ties to the guy, Dinah, and I get that. But just because he's ancient doesn't mean he knows the rest of us.

No, but they did do their homework on us and we didn't, which is a pretty glaring difference. And I really wish I could have told the rest of you about them, but I couldn't. If only so I didn't have to be caught in the middle of this giant generation gap.

Don't feel caught in the middle on my behalf.

You know what the problem is? You two are so annoyingly similar at times.

And here I just thought he was jealous of my incredible good looks and charming ways.

Could you maybe try to look at things from his perspective for just a minute?

...and for the record, yes, I'm trying to get him to do the same thing.

All right. I'll bite. Give me his perspective.

He was their leader, Oliver, and he feels like he let them down by not fighting hard enough to keep them together. Now two of them are dead and to him, it's because they wanted to try again and he said no, he let them down again. He couldn't protect his team. His family.

And then all of a sudden these upstart kids come along, who don't know anything about them, or what they went through either individually or as a team, telling him he needs to step up and get back in the game, or they're going to take it away from him.

How would you feel?

I hope I never have to find out, Dinah.

Who threatened to take anything away from him?
