I have been working on this paper for the last couple of days and it is not going anywhere. It is in French so that doesn't help but it is also only for one credit that I don't need. I tought english at this elementry school which was actually really cool, but trying to write a paper about is as en faite le contraire. So basically modivation is lacking, as i subject matter, it is pretty hard to talk about teaching the alphabet to a bunch of 9 year olds, no matter how much I liked it.
There is a soirée du swing tonight with the people I take the class with so I am really excited about that. It is so great to have a connection here, and something to do on Friday night! One of the teachers Bridigette gave me a ride home last night, so I didn' have to walk to hour since the trams were broken. So we just chatted and I gave here directions, and what was great was that it was all in French. It is surprising to me some times that I can actually understand most of what is going on.
Yesterday four of the new students arrived there is a music program here and they get here before the rest. So the "administration" there are only like 5 people who work here so we are all buddies, wanted me to you know talk with them about the city and being in France and all that. But when I saw them I suddenly realised how far I had come in the last few months. They were understanbadly timide and didn't really know what was going on because everything is half in french half in English and so on. Not that I feel better than them becausu I was exactally the same, but basically to see what I was not so long ago, was a little of a shock.
I had changed host families between the two semesters, and they had given me a key before I left. So when I came back to Strasbourg I just walked in the door and that was home. And really that is quite amazing in my mind because 4 months ago I didn't even know the word for fork.
