Post -a-day 28: Last minute panic

Nov 30, 2008 20:04

What a horrible day. It still doesn't feel real that we're leaving in just 3 hours to go to the airport and go down Mexico way. I've been saddled with an enormous energy-sapping headache today and I feel as though I haven't done half of the stuff that I should have before going away. I've just about packed now, the dog is with my parents who also kindly fed us. I felt terrible that we pretty much ate and ran, particularly after we were so late, but it was necessary.

I'm just about to box up Maxi and Monty and head over to L's with them to go on their holidays too. I know that L is very excited to have them stay with her. She and N had to have Pinka put down just about 2 months ago so I think that even more than ever she's looking forward to having kitty company for a couple of weeks until we get back to the country.

It's hard to believe that when we get back there's a mere 7 days until Christmas. This year has gone so quickly. I am actually already looking forward to next year. I feel that it's going to hold good things in store.

A few last minute additions to the packing list:
  • My script, so that lines may be learned from a sunlounger.
  • Constantin Stanislavski's "An Actor Prepares" - I started reading it just under two years ago on a train across India and it's lain half-read ever since. I'm desperate to get into reading Meisner, and I don't want to do it until I've finished with Stan.
  • Music on my unPod including my Covers compillation, a lot of electro (Grafton Primary, Presets and Midnight Juggernauts representing Australia, IAMX covering London and Berlin simultaneously)
