In case you hadn't heard, Hermione Granger's gone back home. DA meetings are postponed indefinitely until I can get something sorted. She was the mind behind all the brilliant spellwork and there's no replacing that.

[Glooming around the porch? Now that it's not embarrassingly cold outdoors, Neville's restoring the garden to its former awesomeness. IT WILL BE A MOPING-FREE ZONE.]

[It will be a hell of a garden, dude. But Harry's gloom is massive.]

About Hermione! [To clarify: THERE IS NO GLOOM IN THIS GARDEN. Take your low spirits elsewhere, Mr. Potter.]

Are you mad? [Just... staring.]

No more than anyone else here! [He's just going to be gleefully replanting the leafier plants that spent the winter hanging out at the flower shop.] Why shouldn't we cheer her on, now that she's figured out how to get home?

[Harry is perplexed by this display of reason.] Wouldn't her stuff still be here if that was the case?

[It's the only reason that makes sense. Why else would they kidnap her just to send her home?] ...Why?

Because she'd have beat the system. [Because they're assholes. :( This probably isn't going to help Harry's conspiracy theorist mindset in the long run.]

Maybe beating the system doesn't work the same way we think it will.

She'll come back for us, Harry. Just like you will, back home.

How do you reckon?

[That was sort of awesome and painful at once. At least he's listening, though?]

She left while she was outside the barrier. So maybe she found a way out and took it. But who knows when she'll be able to come back to get the rest of us out the way time works here? If she went back to months before I came here, but a year after Malfoy, maybe it'll be a while for us before we see her again. Or maybe she'll be back tomorrow with help! [With that cheer, he clearly expects to see her tomorrow. It's the same cheer that told him Harry Potter would be coming back to Hogwarts every day things went from bad to worse. It's faith out of necessity, for fear of coping with the alternative.]

[Sorry dude. He's not totally buying it. Though he's impressed with Neville's persistence.] If Ron could make it back, so could Hermione. But it might not be as obvious as her finding her way out of it, as much as I'd like to believe that's what she did.

She'll send us a sign. Maybe she'll even get you to help! She's gone back to where you left, right?

She was about a month behind where I was. Nothing about Luceti came up in that time. We were a bit busy, though.

It could be she's just waiting until it's a good time to talk it over with you. You might not've believed her otherwise. [FAITH UNSHAKEN. You'll have to do better than that, Mr. Potter.]

Maybe she might have done after we got out of Gringotts and I haven't gotten that far yet. Hermione's good about that sort of thing. [He's still uncertain, but Hermione's pretty good about that stuff.]
