026 - Harry Potter and the Really Awkward Holiday Planning [Written/Filtered from Draco - 70%]

Feb 13, 2011 01:19

[There are a lot of splotches and scratched out words starting this out. Harry's not so keen on divulging much information over the journals, much less personal stuff, nor does he like asking for advice. But how does this being romantic holiday thing work? You know, when he's not doing exclusive interviews for the sake of sharing one of his worst ( Read more... )

[...lol yeah no, don't think he didn't spend time hacking that filter. It's dangling in front of his face, of course he wants to know!

...except that as soon as he gets in, he's really starting to wonder what he's gotten himself into.]

No.

[This is just a side-effect of dating that kid that always wanted to get into Harry's business in school. He probably should've expected this, but he's still flabbergasted.]

No? What do you mean, no?

[Well if he had known that when he was younger...actually no, probably still would have gotten all up in Harry's business.]

I...we didn't have anything planned for Valentine's Day. [That's not really a question but a statement, but Harry's allowed to answer anyway.]

[Probably. Draco will be Draco, after all.]

The point was to try and come up with something. [Okay, so he's a little miffed.]

Okay, but why? [Yes, this is a legitimate question.]

Isn't that how it's supposed to work? Some sort of... romantic thing? [Hell if he knows.]

Maybe for absolute saps or girls, but...Potter, come on! [Is that a whine? Myuria would be pissed at him if he ignored the holiday, but honestly!]

Do you recall what happened around this time last year?

Fine! It was a stupid idea. Never mind. [She would pull him aside and have a Talk. And be disappointed at him for missing out. She's a true romantic till the end.]

Didn't that come later?

It's not...okay, it might be a bit of a stupid idea, but don't you think you're putting too great of an emphasis on a holiday that only exists so girls can brag to each other about their boyfriends and boys can send chocolates and flowers? I don't see why it has to be incredibly special. [He'd probably argue and then get a smack across the head. He's being extraordinarily stubborn about this.]

Yes...but I've heard rumors. What if something else happens on the actual day? Not that you and I couldn't deflect it, but the option's still there. [Draco, you are just stalling. Please shut up and submit. Thanks.]

I haven't had much experience with the holiday to be honest. I tend to ignore it but things are a little different this year. Would you actually pass up a chance to brag? It doesn't have to be special. [She'd bop him and tease him about not knowing how fun the romance could be.]

What have we got to lose? It's not like it'll catch us like it did last year. And even if it did, that's not a big deal. [Give in! Give in!]

Things are only different because you're seeing me, I understand that. Considering I'm not a girl, yes, I might pass up that chance. [And he'd bristle and smoke would come out of his nostrils like the dragon-boy he is, but he'd grudgingly follow her advice.

And really...he goes silent for a long time. Long enough that Harry might think Draco's just gone and walked away from the conversation entirely. But he's not done yet.]

...I'm not in the mood to discuss this. [And you have ten seconds to try and change my mind.]

One might consider that worth enduring a silly holiday for. [And she'd just ruffle his hair and tell him she wants the details later.

Harry is suspicious of that silence. Valentine's Day might've been a ridiculous idea, but it wasn't that terrible. Having fumed about it for a while, he's relieved to see even a belated response.]

Are you alright?

One might, sure. [He'd protest, but of course he'd fill her in later while cuddling up in her bed and demanding hair-pets.

And now the answers are rather flippant. No really, do not want to be thinking or discussing this. He's just going to end this while he can, shall he?]

...not feeling well. We'll discuss this later. [Yep, and that's the journal shutting. Bye Potter. Feel free to be nosy and check in on your boyfriend.]

[Yeah, he's not buying that combination for a second. Have a boyfriend apparating into your room, Draco.]

What was that all about?

[Well it's not really his room, per-say. Harry might realize that this room used to belong to someone else, though currently there is a blond British boy curled up on the bed wrapped up in a pink blanket.

...really, it probably looks rather ridiculous on him.]

Potter. When I said later, I didn't exactly mean ten seconds from the end of the conversation.

[Harry realizes the room isn't Draco's, and that can only mean that he's holed up in Myuria's. The dullness of the room is jarring, giving what he would've expected from the alien.

Draco does look ridiculous, but Harry doesn't feel as angry now. He's coming over and sitting next to the bed.]

That was a bunch of shite and you know it. You just don't want to talk about it.
