It's the cancer.

That's human disease caused by out of control cell growth and a Milky Way star constellation. I can't see how either could be a threat to Mayfield as a whole.

That's where it comes from. It's both. It's a disease, but the entire universe has it.

The Doctor and I have been through it numerous times. It's quite lovely.
