[ he hadn't even given Tres a moment to reply whether or not it was okay that they abandon their mission to return. Abel had seen the video - seen it and known the harsh reality of what had happened. it tore him up to realize that his twin had died again and that the 01 had taken his form once more, but he had to see if he had failed her again.

[Somewhere between Azula departure and the inevitable mourning for her brother once more she had fallen asleep. Her body still had a great deal of healing to do after all. Abel landing on the bed was enough to wake her though.]

Abel...I failed him.

[oh thank god, she woke up. Abel held her hand tightly, trying to relay some of the fear he had into that one grip. it hurt to see her so upset, but there was nothing that he could do - like always.]

You didn't fail him, you shouldn't worry.

[Lilith won't waste her time with hand holding. She reaches over to embrace him.]

It was ... a little worrying, I'll admit. [he holds her tight against him, trying to relish the feeling of relief and knowing that this time she was actually alive.]

I no longer had the strength to fight. 01 made too sick to even try. [She runs her hand down her back soothingly.]

But, he didn't kill me even when I was helpless. Perhaps that is a sign.

[It was odd that he was giving her a small smile, but it was Abel after all. He pulled her closer and tried to rub her back soothingly.]

I'm sure he appreciated it, but you need to rest and get better.

I can't rest Abel. I need to figure out what can be done next.

[She rests her head against his shoulder.]

Oh, she saw that too ... ahaha. I suppose I should brace myself for the onslaught. [... he is just going to brace himself for his voicemail being spammed and his name said in vain.]

[She smiles at Abel affectionately.] She was considerate enough to give me some time alone so I wouldn't worry too much.
