A man, a plan and a Quickstar scam
So I got a call from an old school chums friend talking about a "job" so we agreed to meet and more will be discussed there. They told me they worked for quickstar which I had never heard of, but that this company ownes (or at least does business with) stores such as barnes and nobal, microsoft. What they were saying did sound pretty ligitamate and this is how they described the "job" or being an IBO (independant business owner)
What you do is that you advertise this website through word of mouth (hence why Quickstar doesn't advertise) and by doing so you give a person a password which has been given to you by the company, now when people log onto the quickstar site and buy something (they have everything really) a record is taken that it was because of you that they made the purchase and as such you would get a small percentage of money because of it and the more people you have buying under your password the more money you make. At the same time however from that small percentage the person who gave me the password (another IBO) gets a small percentage of that. What you can then do is give passwords to other people such as your friends and then you can do the same so this enormous web is build.
For the slow of the people who didn't understnad it completely....it's bullshit. Quickstar is a pyramid scam, what they do is they lure you into their little game and then tell you to buy thier training CD's and go to their seminars and traveling so basically it's draining you of your money. And there is no garuntee that you'll be doing business with anybody and from what I've read about 1/3 of IBo's are inactive, meaning making no money, meaning they spent over $1000 to do nothing and get nothing in return. type Quickstar into google and you'll find out more.

However they did give me two free drinks for samples :o)
the drinks by the way are
and energy drink called X's (pronounced Excess) which contains "no sugar or carbs" so what the hell am I drinking? it did taste like fizzy fruit roll ups though
the other is some peach green tea which is pretty legit.
So all in all....I got two free drinks.
