howdy howdy howdy,
you know when a lot has happened, but you can't really think of anything when you sit in front of the computer? yeah, that's me right now.
i'll start with work. i've been in my store around two weeks now, and things just won't settle down. i got thrown in at such a crap time. between non existent vice president visits and upcoming audits, i've been working non stop. i guess that's how it works in the real world, but i've had a pretty cush job for a while now so i've grown accustomed to the good life. not to say it was easy to do my last job, it was just a whole lot less stressful. but once i'm past this i have a bit of a break before the "holiday" hits.
it's also worth telling that the journeys i work at is tiny. for a better idea, go to your local journeys, cut that about in half...that's me. if you're in the riverside(ca) area, check out the store at the tyler mall. see it? my store is maybe(MAYBE) 2/3 that size. not exactly awesome. i call it my little shoe closet. it is mine though...which is nice.
i have been slowly beating banjo kazooie-nuts and bolts for a little while now. it's a really fun game. a little to open-ended some time. you have a lot of freedom to a fault. example: you have to keep an enemy from destroying(gian) pool table balls. you're supposed to build some sort of offensive vehicle to keep him from being about to get any good shots off. i just used a helicopter with a grappling hook and dropped the pool balls in high places he couldn't reach. it's cool that they reward creativity, but it can kinda kill the challenge. still really fun though. luckily there are a lot of challenges, and since you can get creative most of the time then you usually don't have too many controller throwing rages from unbeatable missions.
i bought f.e.a.r. 2, but i haven't got around to it yet. i'm looking forward to it though. i downloaded a few demos, including resident evil 5, dead space and castle crashers. dead space...i don't know if i'm going to be able to play that one. it had me on edge. re5 was more frustrating then scary, but we'll see. castle crashers was awesome. i really want to get it. i do dislike downloading games though. but if i want penny arcade then i'm going to have to suck it up.
it's late now, and conan is over. guess it's time to call it a night.
peace out duders,
brandon
