when i left work today, i could see huge smoke clouds over a hill. i didn't think much of it and just hoped that everyone was ok. but when i started to get close to home, i noticed that it was coming up from near my house. actually, it looked like it was coming from my house. i was pretty surprised. luckily, it was just down the street from my house. but then "just being down the street from my house" made me realize that the fire was very very close. as a matter of fact, i'd say it was about a hundred yards away. pretty scary stuff. i've never been this close to a wild fire, let alone one near my house. i helped water down the neighbors roof, which made me feel quite useful. then i just sat and watched everything go down. the fire got bigger, then it got smaller. then it got bigger again, but now it's smaller. it may even be out. thank God for the firemen and the police that helped out. thanks for reading this pointless yet entertaining entry. at least, i hope it was. wait, it's not. sorry.
