Not much has been going on lately. Just been hanging out. Victor and Mark did come into town this weekend, so I got to hang out with Victor. Not Mark, though. He's always a busy bitchwhore when in Houston. It's not his fault he can't hang out. It is, however, his fault that he's a bitchwhore, though... Just kidding. I adore you, my love.

I'm getting tile installed in my house later this week. If you've been over to my house, I will tell you where it will be and you can actually picture it. Those who haven't, well, that's too bad. Ok, so, it's going to be in the entryway, den, utility room, breakfast room, and kitchen. That whole big space, excluding the living room, in my house. That's a lot of tile. Anyway, they'll be doing that Wednesday and Thursday this week, possibly Friday. The big hassle, though, is that we'll be without hot water for those two maybe three days. We'll be utilizing my sister's house for showering and the like, but it's still a pain as she lives in Sugarland and not here.

Last week, I had two tests: Global Climate Change on Monday, and Ancient Civ on Wednesday. Global Climate change I wasn't too worried about, and I hardly studied. I got an 85 on that. Not too shabby. Now, Ancient Civ, I was quite worried about. I studied my ass off for that test, and I was so frustrated because the test was actually pretty easy. I wouldn't have needed to study hardly as much as I did. This normally wouldn't be such a bad thing, but I'm getting sick right now, and all of that time I spent studying could've been better spent sleeping, which is really what I need to do to stay well. I haven't gotten really sick yet, just kind of congested and my throat is raw. Also, I'm exhausted all the time. It's annoying. Anyway, so, I got a 91 on that. Not too shabby either, and the only reason I didn't do better is because I wasn't sure how in depth he wanted us to on our essays, so I left out a few details that I could've easily included and knew quite well. Oh well. Now I know that I should write anything and everything ever pertaining to the essay. What really annoys me though is that the guy next to me was studying with me just before the test last week, and he got a 97 on the test. Afterwards, he was like, "The only reason I did so well was because of you helping me..." and I was like, "Ummm, sure, no problem..." Even though I don't mind helping him, it sucks that he did better than me and I taught him! Oh well.

In honor of it being National Talk Like a Pirate day the other day and this is my first entry since about that time, I will supply you with this link to a video of Stephen Colbert as a pirate.

So, to round out this lovely entry, I'm going to supply you with a few songs that are currently in my rotation. They're quite enjoyable, and I like to put them on mixes (I've made a couple already that people have yet to receive with these songs). Yes, so, they're both covers. I don't care, they're good.
Obadiah Parker - Hey Ya! (Outkast cover)
Scissors Sisters - Take Me Out (Franz Ferdinand cover)
