ok so supernatural? absolutely fantastic. definitely worth the download. and CROSSOVERS FTW! you might throw up at one point (i seriously gagged) but it's so amazing.

anyway, just because i don't want people jumping down my throat for downloading it, i'm going to give a small lesson on ratings.

explination on ratings and why iTunes can actually help )

Hee. That reminds me of when I was an electronic media major. But one thing... The random sample is random but at the same time not. They make sure they get different regions, classes, and ethnic groups, because back in the day they didn't. Like when TV first showed up Rating in new york would decide it all which isn't exactly a good sample of America's population ( ... )

yeah what i meant by random i meant you can't just go and say "hey let me help." they have to give them to a certain demographic, but they aren't supposed to know "who" actually gets them.

and yeah it's not something that should be solely relied on, i was just pointing out that downloading the episode on itunes isn't going to take away from the ratings, cause i can almost bet that the main fan base of supernatural aren't nielson homes.

And really if you're that nervous about it. Watch it when it comes on TV too.

Here's how I see it, if you're not a Nelson household it would probably be a good idea to download it (even if you're not going to watch it) because then you do have some impact on the viewing numbers. Obviously the download total isn't going to be as important as the Nelson rating but at least you are contributing in the only way you can.
