Aralis 10.2.11 Brief Notes
Had a good time. Still not much good with the ol' thugging routine, but getting out once or twice a weekend to fight is alright. Two-handed sword is clearly not going to be my weapon of choice, but I had a surprisingly good time with a staff as my main; first time trying it. Seems like there's a lot of utility there, I liked it better than two swords even. Did manage to push too much and hurt my right leg, but it feels like muscle ache and not any of the fractures rebreaking. Can almost walk straight this morning.
New campsite is also pretty excellent; I like the illusion of size it creates. Walking from one end of town to the other is not an insignificant use of time, and I've always preferred that. I did manage to sleep on a mattress made of sharp rocks and bricks, somehow. Seems like I'll have to pick and choose more carefully where I sleep in the future, there were apparently a lot of great spots and I simply picked the very worst. Ugh. Barely slept the whole event.
Got a lot of fun roleplay roles, and wandering around as Mr. Swift is always a pleasure. I may have been fabulous on Saturday night, I forget.
Did get a few neat roleplay bits with PCs I hadn't yet met, but I'm still too unsure of myself to really wander out into town and say hello. And still haven't gotten to do much useful with the beautiful, sensual character generator. Someday!
