I thought that our beloved
was gone forever when first Krogers, then Wild Oats discontinued selling it. I bought up all the boxes I could (I got some for $1.75 a box if I recall correctly) and we had just now, a few months later, come to the end of our hoard. So I was finally getting around to emailing the company to complain and beg them to reissue it as a classic when- I found out it's not discontinued at all. And according to their website, Schnucks should carry it.
Thank goodness!! What else would all of us drink this summer?
Red Zinger Punch
6-8 tea bags Red Zinger
1 can apple juice concentrate
enough water to make 1 gallon
Or pour boiling water over the tea bags (in a glass container!) then after they've steeped to room temperature or so, pour into your pitcher and add apple juice concentrate and enough water to make 1 gallon.
Or make sun tea, then add the apple juice.
Or refrigerate the whole lot overnight, stir before you pour it.
Or use Pineapple concentrate instead. Or add a touch of cranberry concentrate to it. Or add a bottle of mineral water and make 1/2 gallon instead of a gallon for a sweeter soda like brew.
