Dances I've written
Two nights ago I dreamed about calling a few dances at a big contra weekend. I woke up yesterday and wrote part of Screen Door Slam. Today I woke up wanting to finish it, and ended up going in a slightly different direction- Come in and Shut the Door. Then I went back and fixed another dance I wrote in December of last year, that hadn't worked

"Screen Door Slam" works, called at DRI, but requires a lot of teaching. I wanted to call it last time but ran out of time and only called 3 dances.
So maybe this time??
"Castles Burning" did not work at DRI BUT we didn't have enough people to dance it properly. I think it works, it just wouldn't progress because we didn't have enough sets. We didn't try it to music because of that so I don't know for sure how well it flows either. And the music still hasn't been arranged for it...
"Come In and Shut the Door" has yet to be tested.
And I have a new *untitled* dance I need to post. Ron Paul Reel? Bring Our Boys Home? The Wheel Reel (for Robert Hunter and Jerry Garcia) (changed to a circle format?)
Need to focus- planning for next dance this coming Friday. 52 hours and 40 minutes away!!!
