oogie oogies
Saturday afternoon we all got the stomach wrenching gut churning oogie oogies. Vomiting and diarrhea, sometimes in conjunction. While Monday it seemed that we had passed through the illness except for a few burps here and there, today it has reappeared. I am visiting the toilet frequently. Patrick vomited this AM and went out to work, but now is home taking a nap. The kids seem to be fine except that Elisabeth has been reluctant to eat. Peter and Anna haven't had it yet either- possibly they will escape it?
In other news, Peter loves to count thusly:
one, too, fee, foe, six, sefen, eight, nine, ten, ewefen!
(Yes he skips five, and he will sometimes randomly throw in a nineteen to be impressive.)
He has almost outgrown his "Narnia" cabinet in the bathroom, where he's been shutting himself up for months. I don't keep anything in that cabinet! He has no idea what Narnia is of course, it's just a name I came up with for Abinadi.
Mama wook at me! WOOK at me! Mama wook at me! is often uttered to get my attention when asking important questions, like if he can have an apple, banana, or some of what his sibling is having.
He will bring me a flower and say Wook mama! I got a fower for An-na!
(Anna's name is always two syllables.)
He loves to repeat what you say and add "O-ooh" to the end. He also enjoys answering questions with "I don know!" I've got to record his voice it's so cute and sing-songy.
Peter is so good at drawing. He is very precise in how he holds his draswing implements, and he pays attention to how he caps the markers. He will draw for ten minutes or more at a time. He does spirals, closed shapes (his attempt at circles I think) little dots, long straight lines, wiggly lines,and colors in small areas to make a solid color. Here is the best example I've saved from his work:

A few notes about Anna:
She loves to make her little cackling noise when smiling, to stand up on her feet, and to coo, especially in response to Daddy's voice.
