It's Memorial Day and I dont have a cookout to go to. Fuckall. Of course, Tara got a call from Dave earlier today saying that she was invited to his family's cookout. So I'm thinking 'Cool, someplace to go I guess'. Come to find out, I'm not invited, just Tara. How the fuck does that work out? I know for a fact if anyone of my friends invited me to a cookout, they would fully expect Tara to come along due to her being my wife. It's kind of a mandatory thing. It's just not right to invite someone and not invite theyre spouse. Now, personally, if it was someone I knew who invited me to a cookout but didnt invite my wife, I wouldnt go.
Taras in the shower now getting ready to go...

Incidentally, she rolled in this morning at 5:30 after being out with Dave and a few other people. She was supposed to call me around 11:30 and let me know where they were but she didn't. She said she honestly didn't hear me say 'Hey, give me a call a little before midnight and let me know where you are and I'll probably come and hang out'. I mean, wtf. A guy can only take so much. I really do take this as a personal slight against me.

I want her to go out and have fun, so I'm not going to say 'dont go' because then I turn into the bad guy, but wtf. Out of the last 2 weeks and change, we've gone to bed together half that time. Maybe a little less. Why? She's out with her friend.

Maybe I'm in the minority in this way of thinking, I dont know... The way I see it, when you marry someone, you take on a responsibility to that person. It's a HUGE commitment. One of those things, I would like to think, is that you come home at a decent time. I'm not saying that you need to be home by midnight or something, but I think coming in no later than 3 is a reasonable request. Also, I don't think a courtesy phonecall is too much to ask. Just one. 'Hey, I'm alive. I'll be back by x:xx. Love ya'. That's all really. But again, who the fuck knows. I'm pretty new at this whole marriage thing, so I could be wrong.
