I'll confess, I completely and utterly forgot Castle was on tonight. In my defense, I was a little preoccupied with THE GIANTS WINNING THE WORLD SERIES TONIGHT. I didn't remember until I saw a download link on my f-list and realized Castle would air later tonight even if House and LTM wouldn't. Oops.
Just because the Giants won, EVERYONE should check this vid out even if you aren't a Giants fan, or a baseball fan, or understand baseball at all. It's creative and funny. If you ARE a fan, you might've heard of this vid. ;) A diehard Giants fan made a spoof of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" song and changed the lyrics to reflect on the torture all Giants fans have suffered for the last 50+ years. It is awesome.

LOLOLOL. CAN I JUST SAY THAT I WAS LOL'ING THROUGH HALF THIS EP. OMG. CASTLE DOES HUMOR SO WELL. It's fun, it's light and it's just so utterly ridiculous that you can't NOT love it. Add Stana Katic's priceless facial expressions and Nathan Fillion's excellent delivery of Castle's long monologues and it just can't get better.
-So the whole stripper deal was hilarious. I love that Castle figures out it's a squirt gun full of tequila. CHEAP tequila too. Officer McNaughty. LOL. WHAT.
-I LOVE THAT CASTLE AND BECKETT GO TO A FREAKING STRIP CLUB TO FIND THEIR FABIO WITH LONG BLOND HAIR ON STEROIDS. LOLOLOL. DYYYYYING THE ENTIRE SCENE. FROM CASTLE GETTING MOBBED TO SAYING THAT BECKETT IS HIS GIRLFRIEND TO BECKETT USING HER BADGE TO GET FABIO OFF THE STAGE ONLY TO BE SWAMPED BY ALL THESE GLISTENING MEN ON STEROIDS AND CASTLE WARDING THEM OFF WITH A FIRE EXTINGUISHER. -Oh, speaking of. I totally forgot to mention that it's interesting that Castle's is staying away from all the attention. Usually when women flock to him, he eats it all up and reluctantly shoves them away when he's needed (unless it's Alexis getting his attention). This time he willingly used Beckett and couldn't wait to get away from them. Not that those women were sober and the best ever, but it is interesting. Castle is shying away from attention now. He's getting better at staying focused and serious while on the clock with Beckett. You know, I seriously forget that those two even have girlfriends/boyfriends/significant others. They're never really mentioned and Castle and Beckett are such awesome partners I don't think of anyone else. In my head I see them together already lol.
-ANYWAY. The more serious aspects. Derek pulling a scam over real estate. That was good. Reminded me of Johnny Vong from the ep where we find out about Beckett's mom's killer except Derek wasn't raking in all the dough. That was a neat twist. I thought about the Sugar Mama being behind it all but not the lawyer. I thought something was up with him at first, but then negated it. Yeah, I'll trust my instincts next time.
-The twist with the lawyer at the end was good. No wonder Castle said that this was the best ending ever. Seriously. The lawyer was making his client's businesses fail, sucking in all the money and using a struggling actor/client's bf to play the part of an established businessman. That is a genius idea. Wow. That guy is dirty. A dirty genius.
-I KNEW Alexis wouldn't want the part for her school play. KNEW IT. I do like that she got stage manager because that is SO her. She'd be excellent at it.
-All in all, it was a fun ep with a neat twist at the end. Castle and Beckett followed all the little bread crumbs back to the ex-gf only to find out it was the lawyer. SO COOL. Nice change of pace from the uber serious ep last week.
Next week looks a bit serious too. We'll see. I didn't expect this ep to turn as serious as it did, so who knows. I'm just surprised that we're still getting new eps. I figured they'd go on break for a little bit before November sweeps, but since November is here... yeah, idk what I'm saying anymore. I'm happy we'll be getting all new eps all month! Yay!
Don't forget Bones and Fringe are new on Thursday! 8 and 9pm, respectively. I AM SO EXCITED FOR FRINGE OMG. SO EXCITED. WE ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE THIS WEEK. YES.
I can get my life back. My goal is to finish up those two dvds for volunteer work so I can sign up for training and get my 3300+ words for NaNoWriMo. Still haven't started. Eep. =/ World Series and prepping for Halloween took over my brain and time. Yikes. But I did work on some character sketches so that's something. Doesn't count toward my word count since I haven't actually written anything for my fic. I think I'll tackle this the way I write all my fics--out of order. Even if this is an epically long fic, I'll write the scenes in my head before figuring everything else out. Who knows, maybe the story will figure itself out like it usually does.
