Bones 6x01 and Fringe 3x01
I'm going to do Fringe first while I wait for my Bones ep to finish downloading.

Fringe 3x01: Olivia
-We get an awesome recap because this show needs it and because apparently that's what happens a lot in JJ Abrams shows. So, I'm guessing Peter is 33 years old? He was ten when Walter took him right? 23 years later... would make him 33. Nice to know.
-Then bam, we're on the Other Side. Olivia, the REAL Olivia is in her brown hair (I really miss her blonde hair, btw), sitting in a chair with a psychologist testing her memory. All of this reminds me of Alias and how Sydney would be strapped to chairs and asked and tortured for info or have crazy experiments done to her. The entire beginning practically screamed Alias and I was soooo happy. Watching Olivia refute all that knowledge, how her mom died when she was 14 and how she pauses when she sees Charlie's face and how she's never won an Olympic medal for marksmanship was so awesome. Anna Torv is splendid. Seriously, she gets better and better. Even her accent is getting better.
-Then she memorizes the longest code known to man (there were like 10 digits or something) and ESCAPES. SHE PULLS A SYDNEY BRISTOW. DID YOU SEE THAT? SHE WAS BAD ASS. THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO DESCRIBE IT. THEN SHE JUMPS OFF A CLIFF, FRICKIN' SWIMS ACROSS THE RIVER AND HIJACKS A TAXI IN A HOSPITAL GOWN. SHE IS THAT AMAZING. OLIVIA DUNHAM. YOU ARE SUPERHUMAN.
-I love the strong women in JJ Abrams shows. Seriously. They are to be admired.
-Transferring memories? WTF. Okay, Fringe, I need to know more about this science. I used to be able to follow along, but now I can't. I think I need to brush up on my bio and physiology. B lymphocytes and memory. Hmm. That is not computing in my brain.
-Walternate is so creepy. Yes, let's make Olivia be our own Olivia so we can understand her mysterious powers that she doesn't really understand herself and use her as a weapon. Yes, Walternate, what a brilliant plan. Instead of Peter, you get Olivia. Somehow, I think that is not a fair trade. Or maybe it is. Maybe it'll be like a weird Nadia and Sydney thing where they are destined to be against each other since Peter is supposed to save the world, right? Olivia's the weapon, Peter's the savior. Hmm.
-Btw, I really really love the red title sequence for the Other Side. It's just so freaking awesome. And bright. And RED.
-HENRY. HENRY IS MY NEW FAVORITE CHARACTER. I LOVE HIM LIKE I LOVE CHARLIE AND SAM WEISS. HE'S SO AWESOME. SERIOUSLY. SO SO SO AWESOME. I bet he's some sort of secret agent. Or mysterious like Sam Weiss. Or maybe not as mysterious, but there is something about Henry that makes you love him and wonder what else is he hiding. I'm actually wondering if his family really exists, if they're really alive. I hope he's not a plant by Walternate just to make Olivia feel safe only for that to turn against her. He seems genuinely awesome, but since this is FRINGE, I can't help but be suspicious of every single character.
-CHARLIE. CHARLIE EFFING FRANCIS. HOW I HAVE MISSED YOU. EVEN IF YOUR SCAR SEEMS TO CHANGE IN EVERY EP, I STILL LOVE YOU. AND YOU HAVE HAIR NOW. ARE YOU A REGULAR CAST MEMBER THIS SEASON? BECAUSE I MISS YOU, CHARLIE. CHARLIE AND HIS LAME JOKES AND THE WAY HE AND OLIVIA CAN LAUGH. ALKSDFJA;SLDKFJA;SDL OMG, CHARLIE. AND I LOVE THAT OLIVIA CAN'T SHOOT HIM. ALKSDF;ALSKJFDKS CHARLIE, DON'T EVER LEAVE AGAIN. DON'T DIE AGAIN. I DON'T THINK I'D BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT.
-These tattoos are interesting. It seems to be the way the government keeps tracks of its various employees and which divisions they belong to. Even the location of the tat says something. Olivia's is on the back of her neck, it's small and black and red. Frank's is giant and blue, on his back between his shoulders. I want to know moooooooooooore.
-Also, Show Me? I hate that phrase. Couldn't they have come up with a better term for identification?
-Flying to the moon? Did you guys see that ad above the store where Henry went to get Olivia clothes? FLY TO THE EFFING MOON. WHAT IS THIS, GUNDAM WING? (that's an anime, btw. don't bother to understand if you don't, it's complicated)
-The Amber stuff is creepy. Scary how that's used to seal stuff off. And, of course, Olivia can't go home that way. How long is she going to stay on the Other Side? I want another epic Olivia showdown between both versions. It was like that one fight where Sydney fought herself. So, so cool.
-Lincoln Lee. Forgot about you. He looks gross. But man, the art department really did an awesome job on him. And the healing powers are amazing on the Other Side. They weren't kidding when they said they were medically advanced. I mean he's practically healing at an exponential rate from when we first see him to when Olivia locks him in the bathroom at the gas station. Not to mention he's up and moving and exercising TWO DAYS after he nearly got burned to death.
-I FORGOT ABOUT THE WORMS INSIDE CHARLIE. LOLOLOL. I LOVE THAT THEY MAKE FUN OF HIM FOR IT.
-The weird earring things as their comms? It creeps me out and it's a terrible fashion statement.
-Need more Astrid.
-"His name's Peter. He's sort of the reason I'm here." Oh man. You come all the way to the other side for him, get trapped there and you're still thinking of him. Although I sorta jumped onto the Peter/Olivia ship, I'm still having a hard time believing it. It hasn't exactly settled into a nice, comfortable place for me. Maybe I feel like it hasn't really been sold. Or maybe it's the fact that the real Olivia is trapped on the Other Side and Peter is getting duped that's ruining it. But, you gotta admit, it's kinda a creative way to keep them apart instead of just shipping them off to other parts of the world for a year and one of them magically comes back with a girlfriend *cough Bones cough* Sorry, couldn't resist the dig. ;) Or maybe it's House that's spoiled me for all other ships now that House and Cuddy are legit. :P Peter and Olivia don't feel as organic to me, not yet. I like them better as partners and good friends for now.
-The whole marksmanship thing was awesome. My bro was saying something about muscle memory, and I guess combined with adrenaline, the memory transference works with that? I'm finding difficulty in understanding the parts how Bolivia's skills can transfer just like that. I'd think Olivia would still need training. Very, very strange indeed.
-I love that Henry throws the tracker out the window. He's so frickin' amazing, I can't even. And I love that Henry stays outside of Olivia's mom's house. Now he's interested, I can tell. He'll probably die now because of that. :(
-Anna Torv switches between Olivia and Bolivia's memories SO WELL. SHE'S FANTASTIC. Anna Torv is an amazing actress.
-My bro and I are hoping that Olivia hasn't really lost memories and that she's using Bolivia's memories to help her escape. Like she's got Bolivia's memories but Olivia's conscience still going. THAT'D BE UBER BAD ASS IF SHE DOES. IT'D BE BETTER THAN SYDNEY. ALMOST. BUT I HAVE SYD UP ON THIS PEDESTAL AND IT'S HARD TO HAVE SOMEONE BEAT HER LOL.
-The switch over to our side was pretty cool. Although who in the world was Peter talking to? And why was he spilling everything to that guy? Btw, the pen running out of ink? ALIAS REFERENCE. REMINDED ME OF THE MOMENT WHEN SYD RUNS OUT OF INK AND TELLS VAUGHN SHE NEEDS ANOTHER PEN IN THE PILOT AND WEISS HANDS HER ANOTHER ONE. AS;LKDFJA;LSDKF;LAKSDHGIA;SO
-The ending was a bit cheesy with Peter kissing Olivia and all. I swear, I think House has spoiled me for all other ships because I just cannot buy P/O as legit. I actually cringed when they kissed. Makes me a bad shipper, but really, I just... can't. I'm sorry. But I thought it was pretty cute that the we never really heard Peter's answer to why he came back. I bet it's because Olivia asked him and Walter did cross over twice to rescue him. His little family. ♥
-Brandon or Billy or whatever the geeky guy's name is is SO AWESOME. He's scary on the Other Side, but just as smart. Bad combo. But still cool. I'm so glad we got to see him again.
-"Hey, Liv. Thank you for not shooting me." YES. CHARLIE, I MISSED YOU. I MISSED THE CHARLIE AND OLIVIA FRIENDSHIP SO SO MUCH.
-Walter. I love that he breaks apart the Oreos to eat them. I hope he suspects there's something off about Bolivia because the shoe question? Wow, so random.
All in all, great premiere. Crazy experiments on Olivia. We don't know if she's turned into Bolivia or not. And we're apparently going to be in our universe for the next ep. That'll be interesting to see if there are suspicions. That's about as good of a premiere as you can get for this show. Excellent.
Bones
I can't believe Bones is on its SIXTH SEASON. That's insane. Then again I didn't really come in until the fourth season, so for me this is strange to say six when it only feels like two to me. :P
Let's do this differently. I'll go by ships since that's pretty much what this was all about.
Booth/Brennan
Naturally, Booth would have to find a new woman to love. It makes sense, to move on since Brennan shot him down last season. But really, it's just another way to piss off Bones fans in keeping them apart. I thought they were following House's circuit. They practically were for the last two seasons. When House had a hallucination, so did Booth. Except B/B had the PERFECT lead in all last season whereas House/Cuddy did not, yet House and Cuddy got together because that was the next logical step to take, otherwise House would just go down the same self-destructive pattern that we've seen in the last six seasons and it'd be boring and lame and not NEW. House was brave and got them together. Fringe was brave and got Peter and Olivia together, but kept them apart in more creative aspects that work with the show. Bones did NOT GET B/B TOGETHER BECAUSE THEY ARE LAME AND WORRIED IT'LL RUIN THE SHOW. Two leads can get together, you know. They can be explored and we'll get all the fun stuff and angst that comes along with relationships. Like in House. Come on. Then again, I think House has ruined me forever with ships. Nothing will beat House/Cuddy.
Anyway, enough of House and the B/B rant. Whatever. I'm glad I'm not a hardcore B/B shipper. If I shipped them as hard as I ship House/Cuddy, I'd be so beyond pissed. I just feel like they're dragging it on too long now for Bones. Season 5 was perfect, until the end. Oh well.
WE GOT TO SEE BRENNAN KICK SO MUCH BUTT AGAIN. OMG. YES, I LOVE THAT SHE BEAT ON ALL OF THEM WITH A SHOVEL AND DAISY STOOD THERE IN HER UNDERWEAR LOL. YES YES YES. I MISSED THAT.
We got the awkward B/B reunion. The talk, the showing off of the new gf. Whatever. Booth (and Cam really) convinced Brennan to get the team back. It was awesome.
Loved that Brennan figured out that Caroline was really the linchpin in getting everyone back together. Duh. I should've known that. I kept thinking it was Brennan, but really, Caroline did it. Or maybe it was Cam. They all came back for her after all. ;)
Brennan is in denial. Well, not completely. She's probably really happy for Booth like she says, but I think she's slowly realizing that she lost something with Booth. Or she'll soon realize it after the gf comes into the picture. Bad timing all around. Why didn't you just say YES, Brennan? But those last three minutes of the 100th ep will still be some of the best television I've ever watched. Even if she rejected him. Even if I understand why you did, I'm frustrated lol.
Angela/Hodgins
BABY! THEY'RE HAVING A BABY! AND STAYING IN THE U.S. YAY. I love how Hodgins was in baby lalala land while Angela was trying to have a conversation. Hee. I don't have much more to say other that YAY SQUEE FLAIL. I LOVE THESE TWO AND AT LEAST THEY GOT THEM TOGETHER. BECAUSE THEY ARE PERFECT. AND HODGINS IS SO CUTE WITH ANGELA.
Daisy/Sweets
Oh, Daisy. You can't just drop Sweets like that and then want to pick up right where you guys left off how many months later. It doesn't work like that, sorry. I didn't really feel bad for you at all. You broke his heart and didn't even think about it. At least you don't want to go back to Indo. That was about the only smart choice you've made so far. But you do get props for talking to him about all this.
Sweets, you HAIR. AND YOUR FACIAL HAIR. WHAT. YOU HAVE FACIAL HAIR? AND A FRO? OH SWEETS. But you look really cute with it and a fedora. AND PLAYING THE PIANO. OMG. THAT IS HOT. SORRY, BUT IT IS. /fetish
I feel bad for the poor boy. He's heartbroken and confused and then Daisy comes back in wanting to pick up and she's not being obnoxious as she confronts him. Then he asks Booth for advice in moving on. Guh. The poor boy. I just want to squeeze him. I heart him. Sweets, I can't wait for you to go back as a psychologist and breakdown Booth and Brennan and the big elephant in the room about the gf and unresolved feelings.
Cam
I love her. She's such an awesome voice of reason. I love that they all come back to save her job. I love that she's working in this small dinky little morgue and has to wear a white lab coat instead of dark blue. I just love her and her making noise about mental issues with veterans.
Caroline
What's there to say other than she is pwnsome and made of so much awesome that it just explodes out of her. Seriously. She is. She called everyone to come back and THEY DID. And she was snarky and awesome AND BACKED AWAY FROM BRENNAN'S HUG. "I feel like I should hug you." "Uh, no... Don't ever leave the two of us alone again." LOL. OH CAROLINE.
Wendell
I heart this boy too. He's cute. And when he was all dirty in a wifebeater and fixing buses? HOT. I love that we find out what happened to everyone and he ended up in the worst position financially. Then I love that he can't refuse Brennan's offer of money. She practically flows money. She may not be Tony Stark rich, but she's pretty darn rich and she doesn't really need all that. I love that the time spent away kinda affected their minds, they're a little slower in coming up with the names of bones or whatever, even Brennan, so it's nice to see that they're human.
Not that bad of a premiere. They solve the tragic case of the little Korean boy and the missing boy. That was nice. It got the team back. Cam told Brennan off and got her to keep the team so it's good. It'll be interesting next week with the gf apparently coming on the scene, but fun, I hope.

Brennan is in denial. Well, not completely. She's probably really happy for Booth like she says, but I think she's slowly realizing that she lost something with Booth. Or she'll soon realize it after the gf comes into the picture. Bad timing all around. Why didn't you just say YES, Brennan? But those last three minutes of the 100th ep will still be some of the best television I've ever watched. Even if she rejected him. Even if I understand why you did, I'm frustrated lol.
Angela/Hodgins
BABY! THEY'RE HAVING A BABY! AND STAYING IN THE U.S. YAY. I love how Hodgins was in baby lalala land while Angela was trying to have a conversation. Hee. I don't have much more to say other that YAY SQUEE FLAIL. I LOVE THESE TWO AND AT LEAST THEY GOT THEM TOGETHER. BECAUSE THEY ARE PERFECT. AND HODGINS IS SO CUTE WITH ANGELA.
Daisy/Sweets
Oh, Daisy. You can't just drop Sweets like that and then want to pick up right where you guys left off how many months later. It doesn't work like that, sorry. I didn't really feel bad for you at all. You broke his heart and didn't even think about it. At least you don't want to go back to Indo. That was about the only smart choice you've made so far. But you do get props for talking to him about all this.

I feel bad for the poor boy. He's heartbroken and confused and then Daisy comes back in wanting to pick up and she's not being obnoxious as she confronts him. Then he asks Booth for advice in moving on. Guh. The poor boy. I just want to squeeze him. I heart him. Sweets, I can't wait for you to go back as a psychologist and breakdown Booth and Brennan and the big elephant in the room about the gf and unresolved feelings.

I love her. She's such an awesome voice of reason. I love that they all come back to save her job. I love that she's working in this small dinky little morgue and has to wear a white lab coat instead of dark blue. I just love her and her making noise about mental issues with veterans.
Caroline
What's there to say other than she is pwnsome and made of so much awesome that it just explodes out of her. Seriously. She is. She called everyone to come back and THEY DID. And she was snarky and awesome AND BACKED AWAY FROM BRENNAN'S HUG. "I feel like I should hug you." "Uh, no... Don't ever leave the two of us alone again." LOL. OH CAROLINE.
Wendell
I heart this boy too. He's cute. And when he was all dirty in a wifebeater and fixing buses? HOT. I love that we find out what happened to everyone and he ended up in the worst position financially. Then I love that he can't refuse Brennan's offer of money. She practically flows money. She may not be Tony Stark rich, but she's pretty darn rich and she doesn't really need all that. I love that the time spent away kinda affected their minds, they're a little slower in coming up with the names of bones or whatever, even Brennan, so it's nice to see that they're human.
Not that bad of a premiere. They solve the tragic case of the little Korean boy and the missing boy. That was nice. It got the team back. Cam told Brennan off and got her to keep the team so it's good. It'll be interesting next week with the gf apparently coming on the scene, but fun, I hope.
