How can I NOT flail about this immediately? So much flail. SO much about both shows. I love May. This is when all the shows bring out all the stops and the amazing stuff that we've waited for all season (or series in some cases) long. Yes.
Bones 2x20: The Witch in the Wardrobe
OMG OMG OM GOMGOMGOASMGOSDJAO;SIJGA;OWHGARWLGJW;
I CANNOT EVEN BEGIN.
KATHY REICHS ALSO WROTE THIS EP. EVEN THOUGH IT HAD WICCANS IT WAS ALL ABOUT ANGELA AND HODGINS. OMG. YES. BRILLIANT.
You know, I forgot that Angela's real name wasn't Angela lol.
DUDE. Also, Booth totally found another way to say 'I love you' to Brennan. Thank goodness he didn't use House's line about friendship, but instead wished her happiness, love, support and a dance. SERIOUSLY, BOOTH? SERIOUSLY? HOW AWESOME CAN YOU BE? Also, lighting up the little Brennan toothpick doll was cute.
Clark! Omg. Clark failing at being Hodgins was made of all kinds of EPIC. The little experiment gone wrong, making us miss Hodgins and seeing him get the acetone all over his shoes. LOLTASTIC.
Angela and Hodgins getting pulled over for the most stupid reasons. Playing the penny game. The massage. The kiss. THE FREAKING WEDDING. THEY ELOPED. THEY GOT MARRIED. OMG. I NEARLY HAD A HEART ATTACK WHEN I SAW THAT. I WAS LEGIT SQUEEING SO HARD MY MOM WAS LIKE, 'WHAT'S GOING ON? ARE YOU OKAY?' LOL. THEN SHE LOOKED AT THE TV AND TOLD ME TO BE QUIET HAHAHAHA. APPARENTLY MY SQUEE WAS TOO MUCH FOR HER BUT IT WAS WELL DESERVED.
THEY GOT MARRIED!!!
IT'S BEEN HOW LONG? OMG. YES. THIS IS WHAT I'VE WANTED. IF BOOTH AND BRENNAN CAN'T GET IT TOGETHER THAN ANGELA AND HODGINS WILL DO. TOTALLY. HOW DOES THIS SHOW MAKE ME WANT TO LOVE EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER.
THEN THERE'S SWEETS' WEDDING TO HAPPEN. AND JARED (WHO WAS ON CSI:NY LAST NIGHT BTW). OMG. WHY IS EVERYONE GETTING MARRIED? AND CAM'S DATING NOW TOO. WTF. I LOVE THIS SHOW.
Fringe 2x21: Northwest Passage
Okay, who called it? Who freaking called it?
Walternate is freaking Mr. Secretary. Yes, I said that in my last post. Here to claim Peter and apparently start the end of the world. He's going to start a war. I knew it. I said so! Yes.
Enough bragging from me.
Can I just say really quickly -- the scenes for the next ep? SO ALIAS. I LOVE THIS SHOW. SO MANY ALIAS REFERENCES. I mean the paper, the writing, the DRAWINGS of Peter and his role? RAMBALDI ALL OVER AGAIN. I just hope they don't make it as confusing as Rambaldi because I can't deal with that. They better have learned their lesson. Also, Olivia sporting the brown wig? SYDNEY BRISTOW TO THE MAX. Especially the way she comes in and takes command -- very Sydney-like. Now where's Jack? ;) AND NICK LANE APPARENTLY MAKES A COME BACK. WOOT.
I just had to get that out of my system. Alias references. Walternate is Mr. Secretary who crossed over to finally see and get Peter. This will definitely be one amazing family reunion. I cannot wait til next week. Omg.
So this case was strange. What was the point of that dairy keeper guy again? Other than supplying the place for surgery. Did he kill those girls? What? I missed it because my mom was talking. Also, that song that Peter was listening to before Newton and Walternate made their appearances? What was that? I like it. I want it.
The cop, Mathis, was awesome. I liked this chick. She was tough, strong, open-minded enough about Peter's explanations, yet she was willing to be scared and vulnerable at times. She was real. The whole backstory about her family being killed, while tragic, wasn't that necessary for me. Her partner (and lover I'm assuming from the hints) was taken, thought dead or shape-shifted, two girls dead, and a crazy man knowing who supposedly works for the FBI and speaks of shape-shifters and stealing people's memories comes in -- and she handles it very well. There didn't really need to be a tragedy in her life to make her complete, although it explains her drive and her belief in the extraterrestrial. Idk, this is one of the rare secondary characters that come along that really strike me.
"I found my place. You will, too."
The little talk with Peter at the end about finding his place, finding meaning in things that don't have meaning -- interesting. I say that a lot, but Mathis really is a pretty good judge of character. She could somehow sense Peter's inner struggles and knew that he wasn't using her. Now, of course, that's what she sense, but it does carry weight. Which place will Peter choose? This world or the Other Side? Will he go over and carry on his role, his responsibility to whatever will happen between the worlds? Will he cause destruction or peace? Now that he's met his true father, what will he do? What will he learn? I'm very curious.
"Find the Crack."
On the pen. Yes, it's begging for some insanely inappropriate jokes, but it's significant. Mathis does give the pen to him after all. Crack in the worlds to cross over? Crack or flaw in the plan in this war? Find who you are? This will be very revealing once Peter solves his identity crisis.
Walter. I like the breakdowns he's been having since Peter left. The messy house, no groceries, lack in creativity, random outbursts, anger, fear of being sent back to St. Claire's -- it's beautiful. John Noble is fantastic at all the little nuances that make Walter... Walter. Of course he's also brilliant in distinguishing Walter and Walternate. The perfect posture of Mr. Secretary, the neatly combed hair, the pressed clothing -- brilliant. What I love most is he's worried that Peter will never forgive him, never give him the chance to tell his side of the story. It's so real and makes me want to reach through the screen and hug him. Oh Walter. I hope you're ready for what's to come.
I found it a bit weird that Astrid didn't seem surprised at all about Walter mentioning how to find Peter by his glimmer. I guess she found out and we just didn't see it? I would think we would see that moment. I know she guessed when Walter said, "I can't let Peter die again" a while back, but I would've liked to see her reaction when she found out for real. I felt robbed.
Random aside: Need an icon of Peter with headphones, stat. Beautiful shot.
I'm excited about next week. Lots of action will go down. Alias references through the roof. Getting closer to the end. SO excited. Beyond excited, actually.
