House 6x05: Instant Karma
So, no deep thoughts for this. At all.
I didn't care so much about the patient. Good deal with the dad choosing his kid over his fortune, though. I like the Dibala thing with the Foreman/Chase angst going on and of course, House bails them out at the end.
What really stole the ep? CUDDY'S CLEAVAGE. SERIOUSLY. THEY WAY SHE LEANED OVER THE COUNTER TO TALK TO HOUSE ABOUT 13. RA;LKSDA;LSKDJGAOW;RIGA;LKAG;LDKF AND HOUSE LEANING BACK IN HIS CHAIR WITH HIS FEET PROPPED UP. AMAZING. LOVED THAT SCENE SO MUCH. MY BIAS IS NOT COMING OUT AT ALL.
AND I LOVE 13. I LOVED THAT SCENE WITH HOUSE TOO. BOTH SCENES ACTUALLY. HOUSE AND 13'S RELATIONSHIP IS SO AWESOME. I LOVED WHAT WILSON SAID ABOUT HOW SHE'S GOOD FOR HIM BECAUSE SHE HASN'T BEEN SUCKED INTO HIS VORTEX. I LOVE WHEN WILSON USES THE WORD VORTEX. IDK. IT SOUNDS SO COOL WHEN IT COMES OUT OF RSL'S MOUTH.
I MISS TAUB. TERRIBLY. I know I might be the only one that thinks this, but I REALLY REALLY miss the new team. As much as I love the old team working together, I miss the new one so badly. I miss 13 and I miss Taub's humor. I miss it all. Even Kutner. :( I want them back pronto.
Also, not gonna lie, I CANNOT WAIT FOR NOVEMBER WITH EPS 7-9. SERIOUSLY. CANNOT WAIT. IF SPOILERS ARE CORRECT, I WILL JUST ABOUT EXPLODE.
Lie To Me 2x03: Control Factor
THIS SHOW KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. IF YOU DO NOT WATCH THIS SHOW, YOU ARE SERIOUSLY MISSING OUT. THIS SEASON COMPLETELY BLOWS LAST SEASON OUT OF THE WATER AND THAT'S SAYING A LOT. IT KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. THERE'S NEVER A DULL MOMENT AND IT'S ALWAYS INTRIGUING.
This ep brought in Cal's rival, Jack Rader. Or whatever his name is. Jack Rader = the marine guy that Cuddy made out with in Top Secret in House. Yup. FANDOM COLLISION. Best part, this guy was hitting on Gillian. Just like his previous character in House except that was obviously a long time ago in House but whatever. So, this Jack Rader guy is ridiculous. He kinda seems like every rival, he was under Cal's wing before, broke free, complete opposite of his mentor in liking the spotlight and the media and of course, hits on the mentor's partner. He's good looking, tall, handsome, and a charmer. I'm hoping with the next few eps he's in (because they wouldn't introduce a rival and not have him come back, come on) they'll flesh out his character a little more. Either way, it was funny to see him hit on Foster and she was totally liking it and repulsed at the same time. But of course, he sends her flowers. -_-
Torres was awesome and kicking butt and looking glamorous. I love that she totally called Lightman out on his jealousy! ;alksjdg;awihga;lskdfjals;dkfjsdfjl;askdjf;a I FLAILED AT THAT. OMG. YES.
AND EMILY. I LOVE EMILY. SHE NEEDS TO BE IN EVERY EP BECAUSE I LOVE HER RELATIONSHIP WITH CAL. OMG. I LOVE WHEN THEY'RE ALL AWESOME AND LOVING AND WHEN THEY FIGHT AND SHE PULLS HER TEEN TANTRUMS AND THREATENS TO PICK UP GUYS AND CAL GETS ALL CAVEMAN LIKE A;SLKDJFA;RHG;AWOKJALS;KDJFAL;RGHAOWRIG. I love that she connected with this case and just GUH. YES. I LOVE EMILY. I JUST LOVE THE FATHER-DAUGHTER DEALY-BOB THING GOING ON, TO QUOTE BOOTH. ;LAKJSDOIWAHR;GLAKSDJFAS;LDKHGA;WL;SKJF

THE ENDING SCENE, WHEN CAL COMES BACK AND IS ALL CUTE BY STEALING THE CARD OUT OF FOSTER'S HAND AND WHATEVER. SO ADORABLE. EMILY WAS RIGHT WHEN SHE SAID THAT HE WAS MUCH HAPPIER WITH GILLIAN. IT'S TRUE. TOO BAD HE'S STILL INSANELY IN LOVE WITH ZOE. WHATEVER. BUT SO CUTE. AND THEN CAL GIVES LOKER HIS CARD AND QUOTES JACK. YES. EPIC WIN.

The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
I finally read this book... and was sorely disappointed. The beginning was too slow for me. The middle was fine, but the twist at the end killed it for me. Just when I was starting to really like this book and get into it, the LAST TWIST UTTERLY DESTROYED IT. Ever since my creative writing class, I've been having a harder time reading fiction books and enjoying them because I just get critical and hate it all. I don't mean to, but it's ingrained into me now.
I'm no historian or anything, so I have no idea how true all those facts are, but it was still interesting to see how to view religion and science together. I liked that, actually, considering I'm somewhat religious and majored in bio. The adventure was fun, it was thrilling, but I thought we spent too much time in the bad guy's head who was the most boring bad guy ever. He said the same thing every chapter -- I am Mal'akh, hear me roar! I am perfect. I am a masterpiece. SAME EFFING THING IN EVERY CHAPTER. SERIOUSLY. WE DID NOT NEED THAT. I wanted more of Langdon, you know, the main character, but we only got more of him at the end.
I thought the pacing was weird because of the constant shifts in POV. As soon as I thought the story would take off and be awesome, we'd cut a stupid cut scene of the bad guy's thoughts or someone else's random thoughts that HAD NO PURPOSE EXCEPT TO KILL THE MOOD AND THE ACTION. WTF. The book would've been a lot shorter if Brown had cut out about half of the bad guy's thoughts and it would've been way better. Too many flashbacks, too much background of him, imo.
Overall, not so impressed with the third book in the series. I still think Angels and Demons was way better. I wish I borrowed the book instead of dropping money for this. Was not impressed.

-had lunch with AJ on Wednesday. Went well. It was good and fun.
-got my blood drawn and urine tested. Went to see the doctor about it today and all was fine. I am healthy!
-my parents are out of the country this entire week. They went on a cruise around Mexico with a bunch of their friends so I'm in charge of the house.
-since the 'rents are gone, I'm bringing my bro to seminary every morning now. It starts at 6am. In Hayward. I want to shoot myself.
-big storm brewing. I got all the flashlights ready and stuff. Found the candles just in case. I hope we're ready just in case this is as big as a storm as the news is making it out to be.
I just love this icon that Ticcy made. I also did a huge icon revamp with jukebox_grad's new batch. I loved too many of them and I needed some new icons anyway. House's new look is so awesome. The shaved head and the beard = amazing. I don't want it to ever change. I want to run my fingers through his beard. Makes me sound like a psycho, but that's what I think when he's on the screen LOL. Also, forgot to mention in my House flail, Foreman chopped off his little tentacles hanging off his chin. That made me SO happy and he looks even better.
I'll stop. This is like Tolstoy long. Kudos to anyone who gets that reference. ;)
