I want to take little Sam home and feed him candy. He's the cutest little thing.

He really is. I loved his don't fuck with me stare in the beginning of the episode, the way he stood up for the other kid,and the fact that he could kick ass. I know in the end the bully was really just as lost and sad as all of them, but Sam was a kid and he was trying to do what he thought was right. He also could only be pushed so far before he was going to hit back. He's got a fighting will whether he likes it or not. lol.

And Sam has always been noble and fighting his fate. Maybe there's hope for the future, because the YED picked the stubbornest, noblest kid in the world to try to corrupt.

The reasons Sam was his "favorite" are also some of the same reasons Sam might be strong enough to win the big fight.

I love Sam. And I find him an interesting character. Part of his strength is displayed by his attempts to go his own way, yet the stubbornness that led him to be able to challenge John, also enables him to be good at the hunt and the fight. Plus, I think that even if he's unhappy with his childhood(and John seriously needed some parenting classes) Dean and John even to a degree, are a big part of the good things about Sam.
