Originally uploaded by crume. Thursday night, I hung out with Dave, Jose and Gaby. I had a really good time. We spent the first hour or two hanging out, eating the delicious meal of sun-dried tomatoes in oil and polenta, served with a simple salad of fresh greens, grated carrots and avocado. We also had some corn on the cob (with mantequilla, queso, limon y chile). yum! We then tasted some of her mom's Shrimp a la diabla, which were fantastic. And cottage cheese. And baked potatoes. And a bottle of ZA wine. Yum. We just sat and talked for the whole time, chatting away, with occasional input from her mum. This was possibly one of the most soul-gratifying experiences I've had in the last months, if not years.
We then got some more wine and painted until 1am. Fantastic.
Last night I went out with Sonia, had some dinner at Mis Amigos (I had the cheese enchiladas, which I never liked before Amanda). I introduced her to Pacifico, instead of Corona. We then went to see Hot Fuzz, which was a bit disappointing except for the last 20 minutes, which were fantastic. Possibly one of the best, funniest action scenes I've seen.
I've also revisited my list of movies I'd like to see. I decided to transfer it into a google spreadsheet to keep better track of it all. Here is my Movie List. Check it out and give me some feedback. I'd appreciate it.
