So today on my way to class...
...the first day of classes I might add, I was hit by a truck.
I was in the crosswalk across George St in New Brunswick when I was impacted by a F-350 Pickup/plumbing truck doing 25-30 mph.
I was carried on the hood approximately 8 feet before being thrown approximately 12 feet and rolling twice.
The amazing thing is what happened next.
I jumped up, raised my middle finger and screamed "Fuck You, I was in the crosswalk," at the driver.
I walked off to the side of the street to await police and Rutgers emergency services. Shortly thereafter I was trandported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.
Other than a few scrapes on my knees and elbows I am just fine.
But the truely amazing part was that on my left side, where I was hit, I was keeping my bulky Nextel phone. The phone took the brunt of the impact from the crash and I have a huge phone shaped bruise on my leg, but the phone functions perfectly.
