this past weekend
so. this past weekend while it was a nice, semi blistering 80 degrees outide, I was stuck inside grading and cleaning my apt. exchanging summer clothes for winter clothes, going through bags of stuff i had put off for ages, etc. ALSO, as i had mentioned before 4 of my windows in my apt are painted shut so i cant open them. it was nice and balmy in my apt this weekend. very pleasant if you like sticking to the couch.
also i had no hot water this weekend, which made my showers interesting. I attempted the cold shower but i couldnt go through with it. so i kicked it REAL old school and put all my pots and tea pots on the stove and heated them til the water boiled. I filled up my tub with some cold water and then kept filling adn refilling the pots til i had enough to draw a bath. it took me about 40 min to get my bath ready. I took an old fashioned bath, something i hadnt done since i was 6. it was really nice actually. i had some bath salts that i found, i dont know why i had them, but i did. i did this on sat night after coming back from an awful run (it was too hot, even at night, the humidity kills) adn then again this morning before coming to lab. i got up extra early just in case i would have to do this. i got up ran to the bathroom and let the water run. still freezing. so i drew myself another bath.
it was an interesting weekend.
i also watched Amanda bynes all weekend. that made it nice.
