Allright, this may not be much of my business, but since it seems like an open enough question, I'll toss my two cents in.

First Cent - Maybe it's not a good idea to put up all your money on one card game. Kinda seems like you're puttin' a little too much risk than is worth the reward.

Second Cent - If ya still feel the need to play some poker, I could loan ya some cash! Just ask, and I'll get it to ya. Allright, so maybe it won't be THAT quick, but I can sure can get before the game!

After all, isn't that what roommates are for? XD

This ain't about gettin' to play some game. This is 'bout tryin' to raise enough money for tuition!

If I play, and I win, I get enough money to pay the bills. Hell, if I was playin' the stock market instead folks would be callin' this a sound financial strategy to accrue long-term wealth. But it's cards, so folks just assume this is some damn addiction instead of a job.

Way I see it, I'd be a fool to pass up a good opportunity. Prolly won't get another chance to really double-up like this, least not before next semester rolls 'round. An get off my damn back about that. Didn't figure it'd be a gamble if I didn't figure I'd lose.
