I had a paper jam in my printer this afternoon. I tried to get the paper out, but was not able to get all of it. I looked in the manual that came with it, but it had nothing about paper jams. I called tech support and the guy (his name was "John") asked me all kinds of questions and then he said that since my printer was out of warranty, he could offer me a great price on a new printer because the cost of shipping it and the cost of "repairing" my printer would probably be more than this new one! I told him I'll see if I can get someone local to help me and I hung up!

I bought the printer at Staples and signed up for their tech support. I called them and the tech told me to go to HP's website. I entered my printer number and was directed to a section where it showed exactly how to clear the paper jam!

One would think HP's tech would know how to clear a paper jam! I don't know if John was more interested in getting a commission on selling me a printer rather than trying to fix my problem!

Anyway, at least I can use my printer again!
