You made this master list and I realized I hadn't read this one!

This was lovely and so sad...because this is how I imagine Elle's childhood. I like how you started her off so happy and then she went a little bit crazy...and I love how the Haitian connected with her and then ended up being so jealous of Peter.

"All his life he'd only known French and Creole; it was her constant chattering that taught him English."
That's such a sweet line :)

and the end is just so tragic--you write sad things very well :)

i only started to see a potential for this ship after reading 'angel with a broken watch'... and now reading this was really what now made me a slight elle/haitian shipper... lol, i could become a bigger one if ... let's say you decided that you wanted to write more of them...
i wonder what thez would call that ship... helle... ellhai... or haile? lol...

anyway... this was really beautiful and sad... just the right amount of both!!!

The idea of The Hatian and Elle growing up together in the company makes so much sense. I enjoyed picturing him being Elle's reluctant playmate and how they eventually came to mean more to each other. Man, I wish the writers would give us more of him and more background on all the characters. This is a really great pairing and I loved reading it.
