Summary-Because this is how Addison Forbes Montgomery really rolls.
A/N-It bugs me that Addison isn’t really in Callie’s life anymore. I know she lives in L.A. now private practice and blah blah blah, That’s not a good enough excuse for me. So I went back and thought of all the really important moments I feel Addison should be apart of and re did them. I may have even made up a few of my own.
Addison had not heard from Callie all day. While not unusual it still didn’t sit right with her. Since Callie’s break up with Arizona she Callie had come to rely heavily on Addison, which she did not mind. It is after all what friends are for. Her worry intensified when Naomi entered her office with a look that could only mean bad news.
“Addison I am going to need you to stay calm.” That one sentence managed to send her world into a tail spin.
Addison was on the first flight to Seattle that she could get on. She still wasn’t able to get a hold of anyone. She knew only what she gathered from the news reports. Derek had been shot and lives had been lost. She did not know if her best was among them or if Derek would survive. Ex husband or not to have him die would still affect her.
The flight wasn’t long but given the circumstance it felt like an eternity. When the plane finally landed she gathered the little luggage she brought in her haste to get a flight and then hailed a cab. When the driver asked where she wanted to go she realized she didn’t have a clue so she gave the driver Callie’s address and prayed she would find her friend safe.
Addison knocked on Callie’s apartment door. It seemed to take forever for the door to open but when it did she could feel the relief wash over her. Addison opened her mouth to speak to Callie but was shocked when she was meet with blue eyes.
“You must be Addison .” The blonde replied sadly. Addison nodded her head and was beckoned inside. She followed the other woman hesitantly. It was only until Callie emerged from a room unharmed that she finally relaxed.
“I’m sorry for dropping in on you like this but I couldn’t get a hold of anyone and the news reports…”Callie waved her off
“You know you are always welcome.” The blonde came to Callie’s side and wrapped her arms around her. Callie responded in like without much thought.
“I would also like to officially introduce you to Arizona.” Despite all the things that had happened the previous day Callie beamed when she looked at Arizona.
“Its nice to finally meet you. Callie is always going on about the awesomeness that is you.” Callie smiled goofily at both woman and shrugged her shoulders.
“What can I say awesome knows awesome.” Addison made her introductions to Arizona and eagerly accepted a breakfast invite.
Over breakfast Callie and Arizona recounted the shooting to Addison including their reunion. She was also relived to hear that Derek would make a full recovery in the physical aspect at least. She stayed a few days with the newly reunited couple and could see why Callie loved Arizona so much. The blonde made her friend happy. When Addison returned to L.A. they insisted on seeing her off at the airport. The flight home was decidedly calmer, Callie was in good hands. They survived a shooting after all. What more could they have to endure?
