Summary-Addison visits for her birthday.
A/N-Super glad I wrote this so far in advance. I knew it would creep on me. I hope it’s fluffy enough for you Mosaika :D It has Addison and cupcakes after all!
“Arizona are you sure about this? You know we could always buy them.” Arizona turns towards Callie hands on hips and glares at her.
“What makes you think I can’t bake? What have I ever done that would make you think that?”
“Well, you know…” Callie shrugs
“No I don’t know Calliope. Why don’t you enlighten me?” Arizona has moved her hands from her hips and has them crossed over her chest. Callie looks helplessly over to Addison for support.
“A little help here?” Addison shakes her head from her place at the breakfast bar.
“She got me a birthday balloon.” Addison points to the helium balloon floating above their heads. “And now she is making me birthday cupcakes. You are on your own.” Addison nods to Arizona who looks at Callie with a triumphant grin.
“Now I am going to make Addison birthday cupcakes and they will be awesome. So I suggest you have a seat and keep your onions about my baking skills to yourself.” Callie sits next to Addison thoroughly reprimanded.
Through the cupcake making process Arizona watches the two women. It doesn’t take long for them to start communicating without words. She isn’t sure they are aware of how often it happens but it is interesting to watch. A nod of the head a roll of the eyes and a nod towards her is a whole conversation to them which seems to be about her cupcake making abilities. She continues with her cupcakes more determined than ever.
A couple hours later Arizona happily places a large plate of decorated cupcakes before Addison.
“Birthday cupcakes!” Addison smiles wide and takes one of the cupcakes from the plate. After taking a bite Addison looks at Arizona.
“You were right these are awesome.” Arizona claps her hands and takes one herself. After her first bite she notices Callie has yet to try a cupcake.
“Seriously Calliope just try one.” She holds out her own cupcake expecting Callie to take a bite. Callie knows the cupcakes are good. She can smell their deliciousness but that doesn’t mean she can’t tease her girlfriend. She hesitates and then shakes her head in an act of defiance Arizona scrapes some icing off of the cupcake and smears it on her girlfriend’s cheek. Callie’s eyes widen in shock but is quick to recover and picks up a cupcake. Addison seeing the coming danger grabs a few more cupcakes and moves a safe distance away as Callie closes in on a wide eyed Arizona.
“You wouldn’t.” Callie smirks as her girlfriends back hit’s the fridge door. Without another word Callie takes the cupcake and smooches it on top of Arizona’s head.
Five cupcakes including the one decorating Arizona’s head. That is the total cupcake count when all is said and done. Icining is everywhere on both women and kitchen. Addison a safe distance away watches the after math with her rescued cupcakes and birthday balloon. The massacre comes to an abrupt end when Arizona manages to pin Callie down and licks some of the icing off her neck. Movement stops all together as the two women watch each other closely.
“Hormonal teenagers.” Addison mutters under her breath lest she be cup caked as well. She already knows she will be entertaining herself for the next twenty minutes minimum. She’s just waiting for them to catch up.
It’s almost comical the way both women pop up from the floor a few seconds later. Addison smirks as Arizona looks between her and Callie. She takes another bite of her cupcake and watches amused as the blonde tries to think of something to say to gracefully get her and Callie out of the kitchen. Addison could make this easier for them. She knows what they are up to but what fun would that be. Besides it is her birthday after all. She let’s them suffer a little while longer before she relents.
“Go on. Go and have shower sex.” Callie almost sighs in relief
“Thank you Addison!” Callie yells back happily as she drags Arizona out of the kitchen. Addison takes her last cupcake and her balloon into the living room. She flips on the TV and settles in as her birthday balloon floats around her. They don’t know it yet but they will be taking her to see eclipse later.
