Summary-After Addison gets a call from a heartbroken Callie. Addison decides to make an extended to Seattle and help her friend pick up the pieces.
Callie and Addison took full advantage of the time the chief gave them off going out every night. Every night Callie laughed a little bit harder and smiled more. Once again she was managing to bring Callie back. On the last night before they were supposed to head back to work is when they decided to go to a place other than Joe’s. As soon as they made their into the darkened club Callie went to get drinks, knowing Addison wouldn’t dance until she had a few drinks in her.
Both women were leaning against the bar watching others dance when a sinfully good looking man walked up to them.
“Hi my name is Aidan.”
“Hello” Both women reply in unison.
Callie couldn’t help but notice Aidan as he let his eyes travel over Addison’s form. Callie pushed back the growl that was forming in the back of her throat and instead moved closer to her friend. Addison noticed her movements and turned her attention back to Aidan and caught him checking her out. It dawned on her that Callie was trying to stake her claim now that there was an all too real threat. Addison slightly smiled. If all Callie needed was a push than Addison was more than willing to give her that push. She stepped forward and held out her hand.
“Hello Aidan my name is Addison.”
“Addison?” Aidan echoed. “A unique name for a unique woman.” She could hear Callie behind her making gagging noises that she choose to ignore.
“Care to dance?’ Aidan stepped forward and flashed a smile. Addison looked back to Callie.
“Do you mind?”
“Not at all.” Callie smiled sweetly but Addison could see the jealousy in her eyes.
Perfect Addison thought. She accepted Aidan’s hand as he led her to the dance floor.
Callie watched as Addison placed his hands on her hips. Callie had to bite back another growl. Now she knew how Edward felt in those twilight books. Yeah she read them curiosity got the best of them. Downing the rest of her drinks she turns away from his hands on her hips.
Addison looked towards Callie and watched as she downed another drink her back towards her. She knew that she was playing with fire but she couldn’t help it. She wanted Callie to get out of her own way and finally really see her. Every time Callie looked at her she could feel her stomach flutter. She had heard Callie break and even held her. She was there every time Callie needed her and she wanted to be there forever. Addison knew why Callie hesitated why it was so difficult. First George hurt her and Erica picked up the pieces. Then Erica ended up hurting her and Arizona was there to pick up the pieces. Now that Arizona had done her damage she was the one to pick up the pieces. It was a cruel pattern for Callie. Every time someone hurt her a friend was there to pick up the pieces turned into something more only to turn around and break what they had put together. But Addison wasn’t Erica or Arizona and she certainly wasn’t George. She didn’t want to pay for their mistakes. She just needed Callie to give her the chance even if she had to push a little.
When the music stopped Aidan thanked her for the dance and she made her way back to Callie. When she reached her she picked up her drink and drank the rest of it.
“You want to dance Callie?”
“Now you want to dance with me?”
“Well yeah ….”
“Then why did you have to go dance with him?” Callie glared at Aidan who was now on the other side of the club.
“Give me one good reason I shouldn’t have.” Addison crossed her arms and looked Callie in the eye.
“Because I want…..” Callie dropped her head and stared at the floor.
“You want what Callie?” Addison put her hand under Callie’s chin and raised her head.
Callie shook her head and quietly whispered. “I can’t.”
Addison sighed in defeat.
“Let’s just go.”
Callie move towards the door and Addison followed. She wouldn’t give up sp easily. It was not an option.
