1. Lantern Parade was ohsome. Was supposed to spend it with my UP girls just lounging around being a normal spectator. But no. I had to drop by FA first to see what's going on and then of course I had to take out D-xy to shoot and by that time I can't possibly just sit and do nothing. I had to walk around and see everything and be with the parade. It's not complete without it.
2. I'm parting with D-xy. It's silly that it's hard for me and it makes me sad that it has to happen, but it's the right decision. I'm getting another body, secondhand, that comes with the lens I've always wanted. Uneasy as it may be, personally, in the long run it's necessary. It's just a little harder I guess when things cease to be just things and start to take on more value for the memories and the time they represent. Sigh. I miss D-xy already. I only pray I can find him a good home.
