I've been wanting to post something here these past few days, but i can't for the life of me find anything interesting to say. Until now!
OMG!!!!!! THEY MADE LOVELY BONES INTO A MOVIE! AND IT'S ONLY DIRECTED BY PETER JACKSON! THE PETER JACKSON! AND BACKED UP BY HIS WRITERS AND PRODUCERS ON LOTR! AND THEY'RE RELEASING IT DECEMBER 2009! WTF!!!!!!!!!!! WTF WTF!!!!!
I swear! I haven't been this giddy in a while, and it feels good to be so utterly excited. I can't stop squealing in my chair!
I know turning books into movies is a very delicate undertaking, especially books that are such intricately woven tales. So many things can go wrong with a story that's narrated by a dead girl; that deals with violence and their consequences; that's such a carefully-developed mystery (well, mystery to the characters at least). And it contains just the right balance of drama and control. It requires such a tender and specific unfurling else the whole thing could fall to pieces. But what can i say, i trust this guy. A trilogy on hobbits is enough to make me a lifelong fan. Not to mention he has a pretty powerhouse cast with him again. Seriously, I've never watched a badly written Susan Sarandon film ever, I highly doubt she's gonna make mistakes now. Anyway, i'm just so so so so excited! Why can't it be December already?
