Good afternoon, Mayfield. Would you like to listen to a record I found? Surely we could use something to take our minds off of the last few days.

[crowd noise; this continues throughout]
Man: --guess if it came right down to it, I'm thankful for the good eats!
[man, crowd laughs]
Man: But seriously, I just have to say that I'm thankful to live in good old Mayfield USA. Sure beats seven kinds of hell out of, uh... Well, you know. Anyway, this place here(?) sure is a damn fine place to live, and I think we're gonna be happy here for a long time. ISn't that right, folks? Alright, next down the line is, uh... Why, it's young Miss Annie! Don't be shy, girl, go right ahead and, uh, tell us what you're thankful for.
Annie: Um, I know a lot of people have said it already, but I feel like it bares repeating. On this day, the first Thanksgiving of our new home, I'm thankful for a lot of things. So many bad things have happened in the past year, and I've lost so much... We all have. But at the same time, I've gained a lot, too. I met so many wonderful people, and made so many new friends. I've been given a second chance, a new home, surrounded by people I love, in a world where nothing can happen anymore.
So I guess, this year, I'm thankful for all of this. Mayfield. The best little town in the whole world! And of course, I'm thankful for the people here here with me, too. Mr. Grey, Mr. Olney, Ms. Achewood, and the man who made this all possible, the man who brought us here...
