The most lenient word I'd describe this situation with is puerile. Very disappointing.

[Grimsley looks less than pleased at the surroundings.]

And here I was expecting a hotel.

I haven't gone bowling once in the last decade. You are, I assume, my much-beloved date?

Apparently so. Are you going to impress me by winning the competition?

[Her eyes flick over to the Bowl-O-Rama banner.]

Anything for such a charming young woman. ...In fact, by sole virtue of being the only competitor, I believe I've already won.

I'm duly impressed, then. [She eyes the food again.] Would you prefer something else for a victory meal?

But certainly. The thought of treating a lady to such a coarse offering is simply reprehensible. Unfortunately, I had no food hidden in my pockets prior to falling asleep, I'm afraid.

[Bernkastel is drinking from a tea cup. As if it were perfectly normal for one to just be there.]

Perhaps we should go Dutch?

Oh? I'm afraid you have the advantage of me with that particular expression.

I can provide the food, in this situation.

[There's a tea set now, and a few light teacakes.]

I don't suppose you can materialize a stick of dynamite?

Normally such a task would be simple, but I'm restricted here.

[Grimsley will seat himself as well and pour himself a cup of tea. Not the beverage he'd prefer to drink at the moment, but it would have to do.]
