Weekend Warrior
Well, Mandy finally came down for the weekend. It was so nice to have a friend down here. I actually got to show someone around the most exciting place on earth (just kidding). She came down Thursday night, Skip was still out of town, she got a little lost on her way down,so it was like 11pm by the time she got to the house. Friday we went into Wilmington and I showed her were I worked and some of the sights of town. We headed back home so I could take care of the horses and get ready for work. Mandy was going to help out at GD, but it was too crazy, and she just felt like she was in the way, so she walked around town and listened to the Blues band that was playing in the parking lot next door while I worked, we didn't get out of there until midnight. Skip was home when we got in. We were planning on going to see Titanic, the Wilmington College Summer Theater Production on Saturday and ended up getting free tickets from the director who eats lunch at the General Denver. When we got to the show on Saturday and went to get our tickets, we discovered that we were front row. Free and front row, it doesn't get any better than that. That night after the show, Chris came over and we all went to Ron's. We had a great time and finished the evening going to MacD's Diner. The next day we went boating in Hillsboro. Chris and Mandy went tubeing and Bosley went on his first boat ride that went fast. We finished the evening by going to Cattlemans steak house which had a Special New York Strip with 2 sides $8.00, it was the best steak I have ever had in my life, and I have been to the Stockyards in OK. Mandy ended up leaving this morning.
