Jen is a buzzkiller.

In my line of work, I get constantly propositioned not only for sex acts but also for extreme sex acts. With my particularly over-analytical state of mind, this can either be pretty hilarious or highly disturbing. In the back of my mind, I'm silently wondering if these fantasies are borne out of genuine desire or if they're conditionings projected ( Read more... )

Hmmm...I'm wondering too. I was (until recently) active in a lot of comms, and have kinda backed down because of the crap i've gotten from it.

Thanks for liking my philosophies and articles! BTW, you call yourself a feminist misogynist, but i just think you're a feminist misanthrope. i don't find you particularly anti-woman. If you don't mind my asking, do you find that my essays and stuff relate to your life, e.g. how applicable do you think my criticisms of prostitution are related to your work?

I got banned from feminist_rage a looong while ago, and feminist_sex about a month and a half ago, for being against sadopatriachy (sadomasochism), and i've gotten mod warnings from feminist for being anti-porn and "transphobic" (i'm not denying its existence, i just don't think i was).

I'll give ya a few links to demonstrate:

ok, that was more than a few. sorry for linking your eyeballs out.

I read all of that, it's pretty disconcerting how the backwards momentum of complicated language constraints muddies up the argument and removes the central focus out of question. I understand *why* people, for example, use words like "hir", but I think it's not progressive to assume that that's the first step we need to make changes. Yes, language is integral to changing (or diluting) our inner perspectives, but the so-called movement hasn't progressed to the point where the average person would even begin to comprehend it. They would just think "what a fucking retard" and dismiss the rest of the argument.

It makes me sad, because you're such a young brilliant thinker and yet these people riddled in this ersatz world of 'equality' (within their community) lamblast you for daring to ask questions that pinprick their cushy realities. I strayed away from these communities because where there SHOULD be intellectual, literary, and unorthadox discussions is instead muddled with clique-y berating of people who are fighting for the VERY SAME CAUSE as them and they're too stupid to identify with it. It's like watching two drunk people argue.

Also, one of the posters in stupid_free was someone I went to an AOL video game message board with seven years ago (she used the same screen name as her lj handle is how I identified her). I'm happy to report that she was an idiot that everyone hated back then, and is still an idiot now.

Also, "Feminist Misogyny" as my livejournal title was something I did years ago when I was still straddling both philosophies and couldn't find my footing in which aspect I agreed with. It wasn't meant to suggest anything deeper than my love of paradox. Once I did heavier research (and personal reflections on my own history) and realized that gender was primarily a mentally and spiritually stifling social construct, I settled for a more rewarding perspective. However, I still left the journal title to confuse idiots.

I'll expand more on the prostitution aspect once I get a response, I don't want to overload you with Jenisms in one sitting.

As for the song, I'm familiar with the lyrics, I've just never heard the actual song. I'll download it to Ares.

I know, eh. "You're against us!!!!!! Evil!! Ban her!!!" So much for open, safe online communities. I do agree with gender neutral language, or what I do is use the wrong pronouns for "cisgender" folk (e.g. call a man a she is casual conversation) because I forget to be gender neutral. But it is just fucked up to talk about porn, rape, child sexual abuse, etc in gender neutral terms (because it fucking ain't). But yeah, we're not far enough to hav most folk recognize gender nuetrual language--people don't even get things like "humankind" or "he or she" yet!

Again, thanks for thinking I'm brilliant :))--that's my trying to make an uber-smiley face. You're really smart your self. Considering how mainstream sexual cruelty, objectification, etc is, it ain't "alternative" to do bdsm. Haha! It is like watching two drunks argue!

Yeah, stupid free is...WTF. And don't even get me started on Encyclopedia Dramatica.

OK, I get the lj title biznazz. Haha! I enjoy your brand of "piss off" to idiots.

Oh, I certainly don't mind being given a big helping of Jenisms!

It's a cooool song. I hope ya like it!
