The sun burns too hot these days that I miss the rain and those windy nights that keep me in bed longer than usual.
Cardigans are now tucked farthest away in my closet where socks and scarves are stacked in that corner of forgotten.
I muse about the most trivial of things and my hair seems to be drier than the El Nino.
Oh Summer, you've come to soon.
But bright days make me think about happy times and balmy nights under the stars.
Of sand and sunsets by the waves and a cold beer to soothe the sadness.
I cannot wait till the dust settles. When the flowers are in bloom you can almost smell the beautiful.
melodies of laughter are crisp with joy even in the humid.
So i long for lazy siestas by the porch, here come the afternoons that linger.
And I will wait until you join me.
From your long journey you have come.
let's hold hands and jump the tide.
