(no subject)
First night at the new place. The neighbors all seem cool. 20 to 30-somethings, several couples, some students, etc. They tend to hang out in the courtyard together, and last night they even knocked on my door to see if I wanted to come down for crawfish (one of the guys works at Pappa's). I was still unpacking stuff, so I passed, but I could hear that they were having a pretty good time. And then. Then it was a little after midnight, and there were still people outside, people walking up and down the balcony, windows opening and closing, dogs barking, more laughing. Finally fell asleep, but then woke up at 2:30 am with sinus weirdness. Uncontrollable runny nose and sneezy, and me without a bendryl in site. That kept me up for an hour or so, and after that I guess I did OK, except I woke up at almost 8 am. So a super quick shower, unwashed hair in a ponytail, and off to work I go. As far the place goes, I'm liking it so far. Shower has GREAT water pressure and tons of hot hot water. My room actually feels much bigger than I thought it would, even with the king furniture. Anyway, getting settled. Its taking forever, and I'm actually still moving boxes of stuff from both DP and storage. Another few weeks and I should be totally unpacked and kicking back for the next year.
