mood music.
emily showed me a new web site, called stereo mood, where you choose from a list of moods ("romantic"; "working"; "happy") and it feeds you music based on that, rather than pandora, where it feeds you music based on music you choose.
both are great music discovery tools, obviously, but this one is perhaps a bit moreso, because you don't need to know anything going into it, not one single band. you just need to know what kind of mood you're in, or what you're doing. there's even "cooking time" music.
i chose "working" and the first song it played was a mashup of "don't worry, be happy" and "i'm yours," which sounded like it'd be awful, and i was right, because i'm not a fan of either song. so i moved on to the next song, and it's called "bi polar bear", and i love it. yay for new music web sites.
